The lady receptionist with black hair was very rude to us she don't have manners to talk with customers and she need exclusive training on handling customers and even she need training on basic ethics on restaurant services. I don't suggest you to waste your money in this restaurant go to furama Chinese on Broadway & argile eat bakre ke kapore zaitoone ke oil me very best...but don't visit to chengudu impression otherwise you'll get bad impression on Chinese food

I know this is odd- the spicy cucumbers are the most amazing thing. Love the boiled beef and the green beans and the dumplings- there isn’t anything not to love here. Dining in or take out - never disappointed.

Was hoping for an alternative to Lao Sze Chuan that offers decent Sichuan fare you can find in Chicago without trekking down to Chinatown. Tried two Sichuan menu staples that are my go-to for gauging this cuisine: Chicken with taro and beef with wild chili. The chicken dish is just okay, it doesn't really have the correct spice profile of Big Plate Chicken, the actual Sichuan dish it's knocking-off, more of a generic sauce you'd get from any Chinese restaurant advertising a Sichuan dish.

The beef with wild chili though is the real stinker: it's supposed to be a simple dish with beef and hot chilies that's hard to mess up. Unless...if you're substituting the actual ingredients with cheap celery slices. Lol, I think 50% of what they put in was old stringy celery. I guess they figured no one would be the wiser? Except they did call it, "beef with wild chili", not "celery sprinkled with some beef and jalapeno."

I love this place! Everything smelled as great as it always did. The food was delicious and hot, as always! We love it and will continue to order from here.

I have been obsessed with stirfry green bean recently and this restaurant makes it so well. We also ordered the bonbon chicken and sour pickled fish. The menu is extensive and as someone who is very indecisive, it took me a bit of time to decide on the items. However, our waitress was very nice and explained the restaurant’s bestsellers to us. After we ordered, we were told that the kitchen ran out of the fish they usually used for the pickled fish dish. We were asked if we want to switch to a live fish. (i think they said we didn’t hv to pay MP since the kitchen ran out, but i’m not entirely sure) Our waitress was super nice and even asked the kitchen to pick a fresher fish for us. I felt so welcomed and taken care of when I was here. The food was delicious as well and we had lots of leftovers.

Is this a joke? Almost 20 dollars for this. I expected orange chicken, not for one-third of the box to be stuffed with broccoli that's barely even cooked. Do not come here. There are lots of great, better-tasting Chinese spots in the area that don't rip you off this shamelessly.

My partner and I have had amazing food from Chengdu Impression in the past. Tonight the food was greasy, inedible, and my order totally incorrect. When I called the restaurant to rectify the problem, the cashier told me she wouldn’t reimburse my credit card for the errant item (I ordered orange beef, and she gave me orange chicken, and I don’t eat breaded chicken), and that I would only get a 10 dollar refund on the dish, unless I drove all the way back to the restaurant in Lincoln Park from Logan Square. After an extra 40 minutes in the car I got my beef and it was chewy and nearly inedible. We are totally unhappy with this experience. Imo it was a total waste of money and time.

Rivals the Chinese in China town! This is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant in Chicago. The food is high quality, delicious, and the staff is always very nice. When the menu said spicy, they mean it! I’ve never tried something I wouldn’t order again!

Solid Sichuan flavors, but not as precise as I might have hoped. The classics lazjiji, mapo tofu, and twice cooked pork were all solid, but each missing a tad bit of oomph. Yibing noodles were very good, but not as spicy as I wanted.
