I had high hopes but this was a complete disappointment. The menu presented was a dinner menu and after placing the order and waiting the waiter then came back and said that the only menu available is the brunch menu. This was not stated on n the open table website where you’re required to make a reservation and put your credit card info on file to hold the reservation. The food was mediocre at best , the breakfast potatoes were the best and that’s not saying much. The waiter was absent most of the time and had to waive him down and it wasn’t busy. The bill was over charged and prices on the bill did not match menu prices. 2 brunch entrees and drinks were $129 but after the fees placed by the establishment auto service charge of 25% and 3% surcharge for cards which they didn’t mention the bill was $168 and they still gave a suggested tip. I would not come back :.. I try to support all businesses especially black owned and local mom and pop places but this is not worth it the money, drive or the time. 0/10 would not recommend.

had the catfish skillet. I don't really eat catfish but this was GOOD! I went with my family so we all ordered different things. The garlic lamb chops, peach cobbler waffles, chicken and beignet waffles, and fried green tomatoes were all great. 10/10 will visit

I had a fantastic brunch experience! The attention to detail, creative cocktails, and delicious food options really make CheSa’s Bistro stand out. The lamb chop, beignet waffle with fried chicken, and short ribs with red grits were absolutely mouthwatering. Each dish was cooked to perfection and the flavors complemented each other well. I recommend going with people who enjoy new things. Clearly I had an incredible experience and a wonderful time there. Cheers to more delightful brunches in the future at CheSa’s.

Love the atmosphere of this establishment, the vibe is peaceful and the staff is always so welcoming and the food is always so amazing, I stopped in to visit Chesa and ending up staying for dinner with my mom, I ordered the chicken and waffles and let me tell you it was so good. I also did my birthday brunch here as well and the service was over the top Chesa and her staff went above and beyond to make sure our experience was top tier. Highly recommended to go for lunch or dinner or just to hang out. I will definitely be coming back soon.

The food selection is very interesting and every entree was delicious. Cocktails are inventive and feature black-owned distillers but are pricey. Happy Hour is cheaper but the selection and quality suffer. Expect to spend $125-150 per couple if you also cocktail. We will go again.

Food was amazing! 6 of us and we all had something different and all loved our food! Only one in our party is gluten free, the rest would never even have known if she hadn't told us. Service was impeccable! Can't wait to come back again!

First time dining here last night with two friends. I had been wanting to try it for a while now and finally had the opportunity to yesterday. We ordered the hush puppies, crawfish cornbread, and the crabcakes to start. Everything was delicious but that cornbread made me close my eyes and and say wow. It melted in your mouth. Both my girlfriends said the same thing. It was beyond delicious. I would go back just for the cornbread. We shared two entrees- jambalaya and the short rib mac and cheese. The jambalaya was like eating back in New Orleans. The owner/chef Chesa, came out and was talking to customers and asking how everything was. She was delightful. She shared how she started her journey. She sent us some hot water corn bread with mango chutney on the house to try. It was delicious. We really were having such a great night out. We were one of the last two tables left and Chesa waved bye to us as she headed out for the night. Thats when it just got weird. The server, Will, handed us our check. Two of us had cash, so we put our money down and one of my girlfriends put the rest on her card. On the bill it said 20% service charge was gratuity. I knew this also from their website and it seems to be the standard nowadays, and no bother to us at all. However, Will comes up to us once he runs the card and proceeds to tell us and the other other table, that although it says 20% tip, he doesnt get any of that. That the owner gives it to everyone else but him so to tip him separately. He then pulls out the credit card receipts from the night to show us the auto service charge amount in the different bills and how all his tables left him additional tips. It was just in very bad form. So on top of the $28 that was an auto grat, we gave him another $30. We all left with a bad taste in our mouths. I am all about supporting women owned businesses and my impression of Chesa is that she is hardworking and sweet. She should know that her server is bad mouthing her. The bartender also seemed to be in on it as they were whispering at the bar. One of my girlfriends had been there already for brunch and she said the server never told her anything about the tips. And we noticed that he didn't say anything to the other tables while Chesa was there. It was at the moment she left he took it as an opportunity to con us and the other table out of additional tips.Like I told my girlfriends, its not about the money. Its the fact that he bad mouthed the owner. Very unprofessional. I am small business owner myself, in the food industry, and this was very upsetting to me.Chesa, you are doing a phenomenal job, and your food is delicious. I hope you let go of staff that are greedy and who are making you and your business look bad. I will be back and will recommend it despite this incident.

This was our first time visiting. The staff was jovial and friendly, very chill vibes. The peach cobbler drink is a must try! Happy hour ends at 6:30 M-F (a plus in my book). We had a little bit of many things. Please do yourself a favor and order the vegan meatballs (sauce is sooo tasty), the red snapper was so light and seasoned well, as well as the catfish. I need to visit again on Tues or Thurs to taste the fried green tomatoes.

The service was really good and the restaurant was very clean and nice on the inside. The food was a bit salty for my liking but I would definitely say you have to try for yourself to see if it's something you like. The overall flavors were nice.

Chesa Bistro holds significant value for me, especially as someone with a gluten allergy. Being able to enjoy a quality menu tailored to my dietary needs is truly a blessing. Their delicious offerings have made dining out a joyous experience, each time I have come. They bring the food out in under an hour, and Chesa, the owner, is amazing. I have brought plenty of friends and family, and they've all been impressed by the fantastic food and warm hospitality. I'm grateful for the thoughtful attention they give to accommodating gluten allergies, making every visit worry-free and enjoyable.

1st and last time. We had to sit at the bar until a table opened up. Ok, no problem. We each ordered a drink. $17 for a cocktail. Ok, no problem. We were finally seated everything was go so far. Our waitress Nyah was very patient because we took a while to decide what to order. We ordered from the pre-set menu. Two of us ordered the alligator spinach dip with toasted bread, chix etouffee and banana foster. The other order was lump lobster with a wedge of lettuce. The waitress advised us that they ran out of banana foster. Disappointing, but ok, no problem. The food was just ok, it seemed a little salty, but ok no problem. We ordered a 2nd round of drinks. One of them was incorrect. The waitress apologized, took it away and brought back a new drink .......it tasted the same but was in a different glass. Hummm, but ok fine. We get the bill $339, wow but ok fine. Upon reviewing the receipt we noticed a 3% fee for a credit card payment. Can't say ok fine no problem anymore. The waitress tried to explain the reason for the fee, but it was unacceptable because we were not made aware of this fee in advance and it was not posted anywhere. She said she would speak to the manager. Finally, the manager voided the initial charge and recharged on a debit card to avoid the CC fee. We sat there and waited for the customer receipt. The manager walked past us SEVERAL TIMES. Finally, we got his attention and told him we were waiting for the customer receipt copy. It "is" customary for a vendor to print a receipt for the total, a customer copy and a merchant copy. We felt dismissed.Just noticed, they ran my debit card twice then cancelled out on of the charges.Parking: Parking was the plentiful

Came here for the 3 course meal with some girlfriends for a fun night and to support Black Restaurant Week. Ordered the fried green tomatoes with aioli sauce, red snapper with mashed potatoes and broccolini, and banana foster for dessert. Also had the Cloud 9 and Raspberry Mojito cocktails. Everything was amazing! Very talented chef. Got to meet her too. The waiter was very nice and attentive. Gave us each a rose. Will definitely come back.
