I’ve been coming here almost 20 years. My favorite sandwich place in Chicago, hands down. But I do wish they’d wipe down the tables more often.

First time ever having a steamed bagel and I’m honestly not a fan. The bagel was warm but way too moist almost soggy. The sausage and egg were fine but not seasoned. Subbed the cheese for avocado which gave some creaminess and also added some jalapeños for a kick. Overall, a decent breakfast sandwich. Tons of options so always a reason to come back and try it unsteamed.

Everyone was awesome but the steamed bagel threw us off and was really weird. We both didn’t realize steam didn’t mean toasted 😂 who takes a perfectly good bagel and gets it soggy and wet? Anyways that wasn’t for us so we got a second set of non steamed egg bagels and, they were very chewy.

This place missed the boat on a couple things. I asked for no jalapeños they still put them on. They’re pickled so even after I picked them off it tasted terrible. I asked for an iced coffee never got that.

Used to be my go to spot for a simply bagel breakfast sandwich and I’d let a lot of things slide like when they would always forget any modifications to the simple egg McMahon. However, this two day bout of food poisoning is the nail in coffin for me. Not coming back ever.

I think there is too much to say for a Google review so I'll leave it at this, you'd be a fool not to eat here if you are reading this, there is something on that massive menu that will get you drooling.

Very, very slow. I waited my order very long time. More than 20 min.

I don't take writing reviews lightly. In fact, I try to abstain from leaving negative reviews - however, I believe that leaving a negative review here will be a service to the public.
If you like bagels, the CBA is not for you. For starters, there is no lox on the very long menu. Not only does it take forever for your bagel order to be made, once you unwrap your bagel, it is soggy and dripping. Perhaps they dunk it in water to distract from the lack of flavor... Lastly, the prices are too high for what they are serving.
If you want a good bagel experience, try NY Bagel and Bialy, Onion Roll, or Steingolds.

My “toasted” bagel was microwaved. Yikes.
Staff member was super unfriendly. If you are choosing to work in a job that requires customer service skill and you don’t have patience, you should rethink your position. Food almost as salty as their staff

A quirky bagel place that’s always busy! They have sooooo many options to choose from, and fair prices. Takes a bit to get good cause there so busy but it’s fun to jam to the music and sit outside and wait. However, I would get coffee elsewhere.
