A bit pricey but you're paying for the views and ambience. Friendly service that was quick. We arrived Monday at 7:30 pm and was promptly seated. Great views of the water and people walking
After calling multiple places to get a patio reservation, Chicago Brewhouse was the first out of 12 that put my name without hesitation and were so kind on the phone. Upon arrival a few days later, I released they were down, like right on the river. I was beyond excited. They have these cute red tables and chairs that sit right along the river side that can seat two people or on the patio tables that could sit 4 which is where we were. We decided to just share a few plates. The Italian beef, which they cut into three, there were three of us so that was perfect. We went with the hot peppers and it came with a side of chips and au jus. Wow was it tasty, packed with flavor and heat! We also had the elote and beef tacos which also were delicious, tangy, sweet, heat, seasoned to perfection. To top it off we also ordered the charcuterie board and while I would've loved to have seen some cheese on that plate, the mustard and jam combo with the meats and crackers topped with a nice crisp mixed green lettuce leaf and a hot pepper was to die for! We each ordered a drink and each was phenomenal. Each of the staff members who sat us, waited on us were kind and attentive. I am so thankful to Chicago Brewhouse for allowing the patio reservation and for making my friends birthday worth the few drive into the city. I didn't know that most restaurants up there don't allow patio reservations which was a let down but Chicago Brewhouse was set the bar and I hope to visit there again soon.
Best location with worst service.
Food was not very good.
Awesome place to enjoy local beer and food.
Nice tunes and ambient.
Love it.
Wonderful setting, great food and the service is excellent!
The location is amazing. Service was great and quick. But the food was not great besides the pizza. For the price I paid it was not worth it. They don't have water in a cup, they give you bottled water. For three waters it was like 11.00...... Not much of a large menu. I wish I went somewhere else.
Would not go back, felt ignored for the first 20 minutes of being there. Had to ask a waitress if she know who's section we were in because we haven't been helped. She looked annoyed and said she'll figure it out. Then she came back with another waitress and asked if we recall what our waitress looked like. We said no we haven't been helped we are wondering who's section we are in. The nicer of the two said she'll just take our table. Also they weren't busy by any means. Just felt like they needed to be trained properly considering we saw 3 other tables just be ignored for a decent amount of time too. The food was something I could've made at home, this place is definitely somewhere u go once and then never again just to say you've been.
We sat inside because it was chilly outside. The interior is very basic and not uncomfortable. Seating outside along the Riverwalk looks much nicer. This is basic pub food. Food was delivered quickly. The waiters are nice but very busy.
All in all, good service and bar food. Prices are what they are. Sitting outdoors on a mid November evening enjoying some beers and a dinner in a relaxed and casual setting is what made it worth while. I would do it again.

Nice spot tucked away along the water! Indoor and outdoor seating available. The food was good, and it had a nice vibe for a brewery. If you're looking for traditional bar food, you won't find classics like chicken wings, so be open to trying something new.

Great location, bustling with customers when we stopped by for a beer. Managed to flag down a server who promptly got our drinks. Beer selection is unbelievable, as the Chicago brewery list by the front door will attest. Absolutely can’t beat the view, we really enjoyed hanging out by the river and people watching.
A word about service here, and service in general at restaurants these days: this place was packed, the service was not five-star, but the servers seemed to be doing their best. In fact the servers seem to be working hard most places we go. The fact is most bars and restaurants these days are understaffed. So you’re maybe going to wait a little longer. There seem to be so many complaints on Google reviews about slow service. If that bothers you so much do us all a favor and pop a Stouffer's in the microwave and stay home. Quit complaining so much about slow restaurant service. The vast majority of these places are doing the best they can.
