We had an excellent dinner at the Chicago Chop House last night. There were three of us, and from start to finish the experience was outstanding. The service was attentive and professional without feeling rushed, the drinks were well made, and the ambience was classic, warm, and perfect for a great night out in Chicago. All three of us ordered the prime rib, and it was absolutely amazing—cooked perfectly, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for at a top-tier steakhouse. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would highly recommend the Chicago Chop House to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

We came tonight for a birthday party for eight. Excellent dry aged steaks, prime rib, and enough non-meat choices to satisfy the non-meat eater in our group. Sides were superb and each dish from the bread to main entrees were right on point. Service was great. Valet was easy and reasonable. Ambience is just what you would expect in an old-school chop house steeped in history of Chicago. We also came with a baby and the staff was so accommodating. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone for any occasion from romantic dates to business to large groups. We've been to almost all the steakhouses in the city and were almost going to go to one of the trendier steak houses downtown, but I was very glad I was recommended Chicago Chop House. We'll definitely be back.

We ate here for my son's 21st birthday meal and from the moment we walked in we were made to feel really welcome, and everyone made an effort to wish him a happy birthday which was much appreciated. The steak was excellent, and our waitress Grace could not have done a better job, she was excellent. This is not a cheap night out, but it was worth it and I would definitely eat there again.

Food was amazing, drinks were not amazing. I had the meatballs (10/10), salmon (10/10), lobster tail (8/10). The sides we had were mashed potatoes (10/10), creamed spinach (4/10 - watery), truffle mac (7/10). I did not enjoy my drinks at all. I had the Peary Christmas - 0/10, tasted like straight cinnamon and a Blueberry lemon drink, also 0/10, tasted like blueberry syrup. Our server was very nice and attentive - 10/10. Overall, would definitely return for food! Will just order wine or no drink next time.

Ended up getting a last minute reservation while doing some Christmas shopping in Chicago. Our server Gabe was top notch! If you dine here ask for him. Our oysters could have been shucked a little better but you can’t beat east coast oysters with a good mignonette sauce. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the martinis were the perfect amount needed to warm us from the cold day of shopping.

The food was amazing. We had a ball with the wait staff and Chop House team. Thank you all so much for making our Thanksgiving that much more special, especially since not even one our grown kid’s were with us for the first time in a very long time. Grace, Victor, Carlos and Eber were the best.

Bone marrow a major plus and the garlic butter to top the steaks was delicious. We will return. Our server Grace was very intentional and attentive to accessing our needs.

There is a significant premium on table turnover, as we were “encouraged along” at each course and felt almost shoved out the door once we did not order dessert. We did have a particularly long business dinner for two, and I understand the drivers, but not so much when there were 75% open tables throughout the dinner. There was no revenue velocity constraint we introduced. That said, the food was excellent, and I would not discourage folks from trying out

We were celebrating a visit from a relative from Austria. From the time I booked the reservation to the time we left the restaurant, our experience was outstanding! The restaurant called the night before an offered to print special menus for the table to honor our guest, and they went out of their way to specifically welcome him when we arrived and were seated. Then they provided a complimentary dessert for him at the end of the meal which was unexpected and he LOVED. The food, as always, cannot be beat here. Our server, Nicko, was knowledgeable, engaging, fun, and invested in showing us the best time. I cannot recommend this place more highly!

We had a great anniversary dinner. Alyssa took care of us and helped us pick a perfect wine. We started with splitting the chopped salad. This thing could serve 4! We both had the Sunday special, prime rib with a few sides- excellent. We added a tasty side of Brussels sprouts. We took home a bunch and had a great second meal. We will be back soon.

We were given great advice by our waitress, the steak and sides were first class, as was the service. We sat upstairs, initially felt that the lighting was too low, however, it was fine once accustomed to it. Well worth it, happily recommend.

Do not go to dinner if you have a baby that needs a changing table! I had dinner on the second floor, my baby did her thing and needed her diaper changed asap. I could believe when none of their bathrooms had a baby changing table and I had to change her on the floor! I complained, but the waiter said that he has told the manager many times that the ladies bathroom needed a baby changing table. Either than that catastrophe, the food and service was good, not excellant
