We loved this spot - what a great alternative to the too-crowded bars and clubs in the area! We came here after the noise level was just too much at a nearby bar and our throats couldn't handle it from screaming (yes we are probably getting old). BUT this was a low key, neighborhood distillery with fantastic drinks and nice service. Drinks are delicious and I love that there's a range of prices for different kinds of cocktails. Their gin is fantastic - loved the bees knees. Will definitely be back.

My favorite local bar. Everyone who works there is so pleasant, the drinks are delicious, and it's never too crowded or loud. Easily the best bang for your buck for a well made, classic cocktail!

I've come a number of times. For some reason the bartender at 9:30 denied me my drink. So if you look young I guess don't come here? The guy didn't tell me I was too drunk. Just that I deserved a non-alcoholic beverage. I'm

Wonderful spot. The bartenders were very informative. Would be a great spot to reserve for an event.

Really great tasting room. Sadly they haven’t resumed doing tours since Covid hit, but the bartenders all know about how each spirit is made. Super high quality spirits and the distillers play around with different mixes (try the espresso vodka!). Some cocktails were handmade and others canned but both excellent. Cool, low key spot.

Can I give this place 6 stars? Stopped in for some cocktails and was blown away. Great cocktails and a chill laid back vibe. Aaron made some amazing drinks and I ended up walking out with 3 bottles of outstanding liquor.

Came here to have a drink Friday Evening. We were just hanging around the area and dropped in here. The drinks were good. I tried a few cocktails on draft and settled in on the Bramble. My husband had the Sazerac and he enjoyed that one. Will be back as the music vibe was good. The bartenders were friendly and you could order food in the restaurant if desired.

Great tasting room, amazing cocktails and the spirits really shine which is great because they are making them right there! Take the tour, learn all about distilling in Chicago and how they are making one of the best gins and ryes I have ever had! Seriously if you like gin, bourbon or rye, give them some time! You will not regret it!

During my brother's last full day in Chicago (he was in town for the holidays), we visited the Chicago Distilling Company for a tour of their facilities. We have a couple of distilleries in and around Chicago and I've had a chance to visit a few, but this is the first time I had an opportunity to go to this nearby distillery. This is a friendly and inviting place that welcomes you as soon as you come in the door. They only feature their creations, which includes cocktails on tap and "booze in a can cocktails".The tour was well done. The review of how these spirits were made was factual and presented with a nice human touch (you learn how the owners decided to become distillers)...and it was obvious that the master distiller really loved what he was doing. They make gin, vodka, and a variety of whiskeys and even aged in a whiskey barrel maple syrup. We sampled several whiskies including their single malt, bourbon, rye and whisky made using grains typically used for beer.Of all the spirits, I found the gin the very best. This gin would make a great gin and tonic or martini. It also happens to be their best selling spirit.I brought home a 4 pack of their "Chicago Mule in a can cocktail" for my lovely wife. I'm waiting for her taste testing review now.I can highly recommend that you visit the Chicago Distilling Company and go on one of their tours ($10/person). You'll be glad you did.

Great to see more distilling in Chicago. Kind of an fitting thing if you think of the history. I enjoyed the Rye more than the Bourbon. Hand crafted cocktails are a great choice, old fashioned for the win!
