My family and I recently visited Chicago q, and it was such a special experience for us. We love spending time together exploring new restaurants, and Chicago q gave us everything we could ask for—a cozy atmosphere, incredible food, and top-notch service.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Kristen, who was the most delightful hostess! She welcomed us with such warmth and made us feel like we were family. She even took a moment to chat with our little one, making them smile and setting such a positive tone for the night. It’s rare to find someone who makes the dining experience feel this personal, and Kristen did just that.
The food? Absolutely phenomenal. We started with the fried alligator and tomato’s , which were the perfect balance to start. For our mains, we shared the St. Louis-style ribs and brisket, both cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and with just the right amount of smoky char. And let me tell you, the mac and cheese was the star side dish for us—rich, gooey, and so satisfying.
I can’t forget about the desert, the famous carrot cake was amazing!!!
As a family, we always cherish places that make us feel at home, and Chicago q exceeded our expectations. Kristen’s hospitality and the exceptional food made it a meal to remember. We’ll definitely be back for more quality time—and more of that mac and cheese!

Admittedly the bbq isn't the greatest I often find mine dry and overdone when I visit. But I come here more often for the sides and dessert they are worth savoring. I had to sit back in my seat for the carrot cake.

Beautiful restaurant, kind and attentive staff and incredible food. Leave any restrictions at the door - this is the place for comfort food! The pulled pork was perfect and the Mac and cheese was served hot from the oven. The fried tomato’s were good but weren’t my personal style- breaded and deep fried - I’m used to pan fried so if that’s what you’re used to also then you might be a little overwhelmed by the amount of oil. The Bloody Mary bar was very well stocked and well worth it.
Vegetarian options: You can request avocado in place of any meats with any issue

I recently hosted a dinner at Chicago Q and can't say enough about the service we received from the manager and staff. Everyone was accommodating and helped ensure the dinner ran smoothly and that our friends enjoyed the evening. And the food happened to be delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Originally went in to pick up a carrot cake we had at a friends dinner months ago that was delicious! Cream cheese frosting, cake was fluffy and perfect texture. We ended up ordering to go and everything was delicious! Hot honey fried chicken. This sandwich was huge! Juicy, not too spicy. Also got the prime brisket sandwich, tender meat also a large portion. Buttery, garlicy, fluffy mashed potatoes and cheesy macaroni. Happy girl!

Umm what’s going on? I ordered on ubereats a couple of nights ago. Burnt ends were extremely fatty and the parts that weren’t were tough (they are usually juicy and tender with a good amount of meat). Ordered carrot cake. I received an extra large slice, which I was grateful for, but then I ate it and realized it was old and not moist.
The food here is usually very good, as I’ve ordered multiple times before. I’m not sure if you all got a new chef or what, but please it it ASAP!

The bartender (I wish I knew her name) made my night. I had the Q burger for my main course and the brisket meatballs for an appetizer. The meatballs were a lil less moist than anticipated but delicious none the less. They were embedded in a cloud of southern style grits with (I believe) their house BBQ. The burger **chef's kiss**, with the perfectly seasoned fries. I washed everything down with the Black and Blue cocktail. I sat at the bar, and my bartender was sweet, efficient, and on point. If you're in the area and you're looking for a good eatery, this spot is a Major Go!
Think BBQ but in an upscale setting, that’s what you’ll get at Chicago Q. All of the food is filling. My fave were the Fried Green Tomatoes and Shrimp & Grits. If you go during happy hour you’ll get the most bang for your buck. It’s Monday through Friday from 4-6P. They have $5 Old Fashioned, $10 Spritzers, $7 House Red & White Wines, $8 Kentucky Handshake, $9 Q Nachos, and $4 Q Tacos. Paid street parking is available nearby.
