Just flew into Chicago. This was our first stop. This place was great! The ladies that helped us were super sweet, attentive, and food was incredible! Great value for your money! Mole was delicious and rice was the fluffiest I've ever had! Horchata was super tasty, too!

To start the service was attentive, they offered a brunch menu apart from their regular menu , I was informed on specials and suggestions of their popular items , I tried the tacos … Asada , Chorizo and Cochinita Pibil the pibil was my favorite but all 3 were tasty which is rare . Will definitely be coming back to try their torta ahogada and other delicious meals.

As they say a hidden gem with high class service and quality food!

We had carne en su jugo, crispy chicken milanesa and a few drinks, we definitely recommend all of it!

Plus choco flan was really good!

Definitely will be back!

Two times so far, can’t wait for the third!

We LOVE this place and they’re super kid friendly and kind! Their food is top notch. My favorite dishes are the cochinita pibil and the pozole. Seriously feels like a best kept secret.

Amazing hidden gem! The food was delicious. I can't wait to go back. I had the shrimp pozole. So good and savory. We also had the spicy potatoes, torta de milanesa, and chilaquiles. Everything was great.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in Chicago! The food is fresh and high quality ingredients. The tortillas are definitely some of the best ever because they are homemade. If you just want something fast, get a torta. But this is also a great place for date night or a family meal. During warm months, they have outdoor seating.

Don Jaime and the lovely people at Chile Toreado made our catering experience incredible. We knew the food would be unbelievably good (our 30+ guests kept asking where we ordered from so they could go on their own!) but everything was carefully packed, hot and on time. Then worked with us to make sure everything we ordered would make sense for a big group (heat times, counter space, what could wait a few hours before being eaten) and even lent us a temperature controlled carrier case. When our car broke down in front of the restaurant, the whole team was helping us. We are happily eating leftovers for days and will be returning to eat here as often as we can!

We were a party of nine friends celebrating the holidays. None of us had been here before. Every one of us loved Chile Toreado, including the vegetarians. The vibe was fun, the service was great, and the food was delicious. Just go!

Only giving 2 stars because I was given guac and wasn't expecting it. Worst tacos ive ever had. Very dry, bland, and they gave me scraps of asada. The asada was hard and burnt. i was so disappointed esp because they have a 4.7 rating I wouldn't go back. The chicken Tinga LOOKED good but tasted so watered down if that makes sense. Even the sauce was watered down.
