Purchased total of 17 items for ~$40, avg of ~$2/item -- cash only (!). Line was just shy of going out the door and we were done in ~10 min. Also worth mentioning that we went ~2:30 pm on a weekday and there were still a great variety of things to choose from!
This is THE only bakery my partner and I visit in Chicago Chinatown. They have been going since they were young, and this is the oldest bakery in Chinatown. Always worth a visit if we're in the area. I don't think I've ever regretted getting something here.

The Portuguese egg tart was soo good my mouth was watering for more. Apple pie was amazing too. The coconut tart was like a bread texture also delicious but go with egg tart. I want to try everything

Pricey.. and we do take out.. very disappointing that they put everything in one box causes all the food smushed and crashed... and we tried give it to our visitor, we were too embarrassed...they were to stingy to put everything in one box.

CASH ONLY! I ordered the Portuguese egg tart, shumai (shrimp dumplings), cookie and BBQ pork bun. I came for the mention of the egg tart on The Bear but I hate to say it was so bland. The BBQ pork bun however was my favorite from my visit, if they warmed it up it’d be even better. Shumai tasted good as well. There was no seating but there was a standing table along the front window for me to snack. Very affordable…each item besides the shumai was less than $2, shumai was $5.
A lovely quaint place! A great place to get buns, pastries and much more! The place is CASH only but they have an ATM within the bakery so that’s convenient.
Food : We got red bean baby mooncake. It was tasty and lovely!
Service : Really sweet team and the cashier can speak in English which helps to discuss and understand the pastries better
