The chai was horrible— they should not call it chai when they use a syrup. It was not authentic at all. We ordered the ginger cardamom chai and it tasted nothing like it — it was syrupy, worse than the chai tea lattes that the American coffee stores sell .Please don’t go here if you are looking for authentic Indian chai, you will be disappointed.

I took samosa plate and mumbai chai. Samosa was stale and it smelled. It was just microwaved at given. Being a Mumbaikar, I did not find the chai like a mumbai chai. Let alone Mumbai, it was not a chai at all. It had a very powdery taste of the masala. Guys, please focus on improving food quality.

Great spot for Indian chai and snacks, tucked away in a little corner of Chicago downtown.

Have to say extremely disappointed in the food. Masala was overcooked and tasted like it had been sitting in warmers for hours. The naan and samosas were hard like they were made a couple of days before and then microwaved. This is not the previous experience had with food from their other location. If you are bringing food made in the main restaurant and just warming it, it may be time to rethink this satellite location. The food quality is suffering. The bright spot is the food preparer/cashier (only visible employee) was very kind and sweet. Consider making this a beverage location only until the food is figured out.

The place was quite busy during the holiday season. As it is centrally located you can expect people to stop by for a quick Nepalese snack. Samosa and esp the sour chutney is a must try. It reminded me of Samosa that I ate back in Nepal. Masala tea and Mumbai cutting tea were decent. Aloo chat could have been better.

The smells alone is worth a stop in! The chai is amazing (we got masala with oat milk) and the barista was so sweet she gave us a coconut crème to try - which I kind of wish I got instead because it was so tasty! We also got veggie samosas which were some of the best I’ve ever had.

I am a sucker for real house-made chai packed with spice, so this place is a winner with me. It's not like any mild, cloyingly sweet holiday chai from a certain coffee chain with a mermaid on their logo. It's extremely hot when they hand it to you, it's got bite, it's a real treat, great quality, fair price. I'm attempting to try all the flavors; would recommend this place on a cold day (and any other day)!
