Hit up Ciao! Cafe & Wine Lounge in West Loop last Friday. Snagged the Rigatoni Alla Rigo, flatbread pizza, and tomato‑mozz cheese bite plates, plus a bottle of red. Vibe's super cozy, live jazz came on later—staff were friendly too. Food’s tasty and the wine’s solid, but a couple plates were just kinda “meh.” Still a go‑to date‑night spot.

Ciao! Cafe & Wine Lounge in the West Loop is a cozy gem that's perfect for a chill night out. I swung by last Saturday and was greeted with a warm, intimate vibe that made me feel right at home. Started off with their bacon-wrapped dates, which were the perfect mix of sweet and savory. For the main course, I couldn't resist the Rigatoni Alla Rigo, their house specialty with spicy Italian sausage in a creamy tomato sauce—absolutely hit the spot. Paired it all with a glass of red wine, bringing my tab to around $40. The live jazz music added a nice touch, making the whole experience feel authentically Chicago. If you're looking for a laid-back spot with solid Italian eats and a neighborhood feel, Ciao! is where it's at.

Live music looking out as the snow was falling on Valentines Day made the evening magical. The pasta was absolutely amazing! Wonderful, owner wonderful, staff and service, wonderful!

Cozy. You fell like you're out with friends. The atmosphere is very relaxed; along with dinner tables, there is a couch, a television - at the right time you can watch / change channels, and a record player. I've seen several musicians perform there and they have all been great. As they play, they're probably five feet away from patrons. You feel their love for the music. The owner, Julie, is awesome, a social butterfly. She menu has dishes that are cooked with flavors bursting. You'll love the cafe.
Very nice, quaint wine bar. Great cuisine, immaculate customer service and easy listening music playing on a record player. A must try!

This is one of West Loop's hidden gems that you have to check out. The venue seating is much more intimate, which is a huge relief from the other overcrowded and loud West Loop alternatives. Food is very consistent and staff and ownership are always friendly and accommodating. There is amazing live music on the weekends with some incredibly talented musicians and singers-it's pretty common for many musicians to pop in and you get to bask in a wonderful jazz ensemble. I highly recommend trying the owner's signature Hawaiian bread pudding dessert to end your night. Be sure to check it out!
