Cindy's Rooftop Reviews
I went for a friends graduation brunch, and it was definitely a hopping spot in the city, and I can see the appeal for the rooftop views alone, but I think it’s a bit overpriced for what you’re getting in my opinion.
I had the biscuits and gravy ($25) which was fine but also strange in that it tasted more like a chowder than gravy.
I also got the chocolate chip cookies which were and came in an order of 3 for $12. As I said, a bit overpriced for cookies, but...read full review
Went for a Friday lunch. Only about 5 entree’s on the menu. We had the burger that people raved over at it was nothing special. Service was horrible. Bartender forgot to make the drinks. Freind ordered no cheese and it came with it. Diet Coke was served instead of coke. Server NEVER came over to see how things were. It’s a small place and there was no reason for poor service. Had to get up to get our own water…. Just over rated and it’s hard to get into!?

Cindy's Rooftop is a popular rooftop bar known for its beautiful city views and amazing cocktails. The space is gorgeous, featuring cool decor and architecture, and the food, including chicken, lamb pasta, and appetizers, is generally delicious. Guests particularly enjoy the creative and well-balanced cocktails, like the Aphra-Cadabra. The rooftop can get crowded, especially on nice days, but the staff is efficient, and the overall experience is highly enjoyable.
The views from the outdoor deck are incredible, offering sights of downtown, Lake Michigan, and Millennium Park, and guests have even caught fireworks shows over the city. While the food is mostly praised, some dishes, like the mushroom risotto, have not met expectations. The risotto was described as more like watery rice with a hint of mushroom, lacking the proper preparation. However, other items, such as truffle fries and scallops with a unique sauce, have received positive feedback. The NY strip was noted for its good crust, though the prices are higher than expected, affecting perceived value.
The indoor area can be a bit noisy, especially around the bar, but service has been described as great, with attentive staff working hard to ensure customer satisfaction. While the food may not always justify the price, Cindy's Rooftop is recommended for a one-time tourist visit to experience the stunning views and good drinks, especially for newcomers to the city.
