Wonderful setting overlooking the lakefront, Millennium Park, Michigan Avenue and the skyline. Memorable food and cocktails
Beautiful view from the rooftop, excellent cocktails and beer. Stratiacella app was amazing!
Service was awesome, we needed quick to catch a train and our server delivered! Great spot for scenic photos or just to enjoy the view. Kinda loud, it's was sooo hot inside with the glass ceilings even with 1 patio door open. Food was not 5 star but regardless good quality.
The hostess was very kind and seated us on the couch, which allowed us to enjoy the beautiful view — we really appreciated that. Unfortunately, the chicken dish was far too spicy for us, to the point that it was not enjoyable or possible to finish. We wish the waiter had mentioned this in advance. After checking with the kitchen, we were told that the dish was “not too spicy,” which was disappointing, as that was not our experience.
Absolutely fantastic experience. Food was amazing. Great ambiance, service and the fires in the patio on a nice winter evening was a bonus. The bench seats were a little low for a short person, but still tolerable.
Menú demasiado reducido, el lugar es precioso con muy buena atención y pero ayudaría una mayor variedad y opciones para niños
It was ok, the food though tasty, really doesnt meet the quality I was expecting for the cost. Youre really going there for the view more than the food. The view was absolutely worth it however.

I've dined at many restaurants and Cindy's was one of them. In the past, I loved visiting Cindy's Rooftop for the food, drinks, and atmosphere.
However, I need to share my concerns after a couple of unsettling experiences. Last November, my partner found a glass shard in his pasta, which we reported to the management. I decided to give Cindy's another chance and went for brunch today with a friend, thinking the last incident was just a individual case. Unfortunately, she found a dark hair in her dish, and she's blonde.
I've loved Cindy's, but i'm starting to question the hygiene standards.
Decent plays overlooking the millennium Bean. Their cocktails are really good and the food's decent.

The experience was great, however the service was a bit lackluster for how expensive the food is. Waiter was nice, but not very attentive to the table. The patio view of the park/bay was very nice, and they have little firepits outside to keep warm. Prices were a bit high for the amount of food on the plate, but that could just be us being used to larger sizes down south. Would come back again, 7/10

Review for Cindy’s Rooftop – Chicago: A Disappointing Experience
I really wanted to love Cindy’s Rooftop. It’s in a gorgeous historic building, and you’ve got to book a month in advance, so the expectations were high. But the whole experience left us really disappointed.
First off, we sat for a solid five minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. And when the waiter finally showed up, he was wearing sunglasses, looking like he couldn’t care less. The whole staff had this grungy, hipster vibe, which would be fine if they actually cared about service. Instead, it felt like we were an inconvenience to them. It’s one thing to have a unique style, but it’s another to act like your guests are a bother.
We’re paying good money here and just hoping for a nice experience, not to feel like we’re intruding on someone’s personal scene. And the food? Definitely not worth the price. Fries were stale, burger was just okay. The view might be nice if you get the right seat, but we didn’t, so it wasn’t even that special.
In short, if you’re going to charge premium prices, maybe focus on making guests feel welcome and delivering good service instead of a hipper-than-thou attitude. We left feeling like we’d have had a better time (and meal) somewhere else.

Great atmosphere and beautiful views of Cloud Gate and the lake. We arrived a bit late for lunch, so only a few options were still available.

This place is such a cute little spot with so much charm! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. We started off with drinks at the bar, and Johann was our bartender—he was absolutely awesome. He was friendly, engaging, and clearly passionate about what he does. Johann took the time to talk with us about the drinks, offered great recommendations, and made us feel genuinely welcome right away. Huge shout-out to him for making such an incredible first impression!
After that, our server Ben was just as fantastic. He did an amazing job walking us through both the drink and food options, answering questions, and making great suggestions. You could tell he really knew the menu and cared about providing great service. The food itself was absolutely amazing—beautifully prepared and full of flavor—and the view was just as stunning, which made the whole experience even more special.
Overall, everything from the service to the food to the atmosphere exceeded our expectations. It was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. We will definitely be coming back, and congratulations to the entire staff for doing such an incredible job. You are all awesome!
