I have been trying to make a reservation for weeks with no luck. Looks like the site does not allow you to make reservations more than a couple days in advance, and even those days say they have no openings. I have tried calling, emailing, messaging through Instagram and Facebook but have not gotten any responses from anyone. I would love to visit the establishment, but I'm afraid if the customer service is this bad, it probably wont be much better at the restaurant.

Went to Cite with my boyfriend for our anniversary and it was a good experience! Workers were polite and the food was tasty. The view was spectacular! Food is a bit pricey.

Best view in Chicago. Ive been frequenting this place for years. Ive tried other restaurants, but this place just checks all the boxes. The food is amazing and they always come through when I ask for items not listed on the menu. Once I asked for cherries jubilee flambé. A few nights ago I asked for filet Oscar. Love the romance packages available, the photographer, piano, and great service. It is also the only high rise east of Lakeshore Drive with great views for fireworks. I love watching storms on the lake as well.

They keep deleting my post. This place is trash. Grimey. You see pimps and their girls working. Super outdated. Don't get their special or it will be $150. Not worth it. Their mash is watered down.

Welp! Dressed to impress for my bday. Dinner reservations for my dinner party. Get to the restaurant, and they are closed down. No one from the restaurant called to inform me that they wouldn't be open for business. After speaking with someone over the phone for my reservation. I have to get to the restaurant on the day of to find out from security that they are closed. My birthday is ruined. Very disappointed! Very inconsiderate. All they had to do is call, text, or email to update me on the closure.

FINE DINING?! McDonald’s then should be considered FINE DINING. Food - 0 Service - 0 I sent an email requesting to have a manager reach out to me due to our experience the night we went - no answer. We had an horrendous experience for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner. and we spoke with the “manager on duty” Carlos who was also the Bartender. We shared our grievances about tonight’s service and was given absolutely no respect nor response except for “okay, pay the bill.” We were not ever going to not pay the bill, but expected acknowledgement/responsibility for what happened. But all Carlos could say was, “okay.” He was 1) obviously not the manager; or 2) untrained manager, because he did not act like one at all. I have also never seen a manager behind the bar dressed in all black and no suit jacket in a fine dining restaurant. On top of it, Carlos said he was unable to come to our table because he was “very busy”, if he had to come to the table to hear our grievances, which would have taken just a few minutes out of his time, it could have been resolved. I told asked him if he cared about his customers, he said yes, I asked why he couldn’t stop by our table to speak to us, he said he was busy with the bar. Doesn’t seem to value customer service especially when there is a grievance. Our main grievance was that we asked for a table by the window. I understand it was first come first serve. We asked blanca, our waitress, and she said none were available. However, we saw two parties be sat at empty tables next to the window 10-15 minutes later. The table behind us threatened to leave if they did not get to move to the other table. I respect the service industry as I was once in that industry when I was younger. I did not think we would need to THREATEN to leave to get our request fulfilled or good service. We got our food. DISGUSTING. ABSOLUTELY not fine dining but more of mediocre banquet food that you have to eat because you did not eat all day. We only saw our waitress twice, once to order a $140 bottle of wine, second to take our food order and never again. The food was brought out on a black utility cart. Our waitress finally walked by and we had to wave her down, we asked for boxes shortly after receiving our food while watching more tables being sat by the window. Once we requested to speak with a manager, the service went downhill even more. We had to box our own food and was given absolutely no acknowledgment from our server, Blanca, for our experience. She just said, “sorry” and ran off to get boxes and the manager. It seemed like no one wanted to provide customer service nor deal with the situation at hand except to bounce it from one person to another. From my knowledge, Cite is know to be a high end, fine dining restaurant (their prices definitely show it) that prides themselves in their food, experience and service. None of that was met tonight. A $630+ bill does not equate to the service we received tonight. I realize now why they add a 20% gratuity because no one would tip 20% for the service provided. In short, the service and handling of our grievance was horrendous. They do not care about their customers and just want to get you in the door with their “fine dining” and “view.” Decor is tacky. Food is disgusting. Service is incompetent. ABSOLUTELY AVOID, there are so many better options in the city and you would still be able to keep at least $200+ in your pocket.

View is beautiful but the food is lacking flavor. ordered the tomahawk w/lobster tails for 2 dinner special. It was not worth it no seasoning and they dumped gray all over the steak that didn't taste like anything. They were playing lord techno music and my husband had to ask them to turn it down. The drink were good tho and the staff was great except the fact that we told the waitress while ordering that I couldn't have green bears and they came out with the order anyway. All the other staff was nice pleasant and helpful

Food was horrible and not worth the money. I don't think I've ever had a filet taste so bad in my entire life. Very minimal selections to choose from. Very very slow service. Would not recommend going.

We came here on date night. Full transparency we live across the street and I was really hoping to love it. The hostess seated us right away. The vibe was back to 1990, carpet, seat covers, dining room table cloths with gold embroidered plates. Music was more early 2000. The view was fantastic. We started with the escargot which were good but not mind blowing. We followed that with a lobster bisque where the lobster was way too overpowering. Then we shared the duck which was chewy and too sweet. Then the bill for all that mediocre food was ridiculous. Overall fine but value for money you can find way better in this city.

We went for my husband's birthday, and while the view was good we would not return. The view was the best part about dining. The food was just okay, but left much to be desired. I did communicate that it was a birthday celebration in the booking, but that wasn't even acknowledged. The server was new, and this did play a part in the experience not being wonderful. We understand how challenging that can be but just want to be honest about the experience. Nothing about it made us want to return.

Really wanted to love this place. Food was good, view amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But unfortunately when the waiter set the butter down on our table, a roach ran to my lap. I was with a group of 6, we all wanted to be ok with it, but we all struggled to get past it. It was a Thursday evening and aside from a family of 6 celebrating their anniversary and a small 3 person wait staff, there was not another soul in the restaurant. We spent $1,200 for 6 people... it would be fine had a roach not visited our table. The waiter saw it and said nothing... I know he saw it because he stepped back with surprise after he set the butter down. We each recovered, but we will never return. I give this place less then a year.

We went to celebrate our 10th anniversary and when we arrived, we were shocked to see how dated and drab the restaurant looked. The only saving grace was the view. When we reserved, we informed them it was our anniversary and requested the romance package, yet the table they sat us at was next to a loud party of 6 with a child that would not stay at their table and played with loud toys throughout the dining room. They could have moved us or never sat us next to them to begin, considering that party of 6 was on desserts before we arrived, so a bit of awareness would have been nice. We settle in and noticed a bug on my menu. Not sure how a fruit fly would have flown up two separate elevators and into the dining room, so I am sure this came from the kitchen. Speaking of the menus, they were cheap and informed us that 20% gratuity is automatically added to every check. We decided to stick it out anyway, and went to Yelp to see photos and help us decide what to order, and the food reviews were terrible. One dish was described as “tasted like death” and another was described as “frozen and microwaved”. For the prices of the items and our previous observations, we canceled our order, paid for our drinks and left. Worst dinner ever! I see why they force gratuity, because no one wants to pay more on top of what they were already forced to pay for. They need to shut down and get it together. You cannot give diners who are paying you money experiences like this.

I don't know about all these 1,2,3 stars on this restaurant but for me was a 5 and beyond service was amazing food was amazing drinks was amazing and they actually read your request unlike some others our romance dinner was a 5+ we had a tomahawk steak with lobster tails it was delicious specially with a picky eater and she loved it this a spot to go to experience and romance and if Willing to put money down on a chef that throws it down, BIG UPS TO THE CHEF! This is a Mia go again spot!!!! Thanks you guys for your hospitality!!!!!!
