I have catered with Cody for a couple of years now. And several types of events from brunch with the girls at home to a Friendsgiving at home she has been so fantastic! This year once again we will be using her services and as per usual we know everything will be absolutely top notch! If you are on the fence trust me she is the way to go! The food is the absolute the best at a great price!

I went to an event catered by this company hosted by a very close friend of mine. I arrived early and was starving so the host said to grab a piece of chicken. It was the blandest thing I had ever tasted!
When I asked a woman who was there catering if they had salt or hot sauce available (in hopes of somehow adding some kind of flavor), you could see the fury behind her eyes, immediately! I honestly was so taken back, and scared! She then condescendingly asked if I ever had this kind of food, and if I had anything to add or pointers. I looked at her and firmly told her that I’ve dined at three Michelin star restaurants and the divey-est (word?) of dive bars, and have had better.
I abruptly turned away, and told the host. She told me she would never hire her again. Oh btw, apparently this person speaking to me was the owner. I confirmed it by looking her up.
I wouldn’t have responded like that but when you speak to someone a certain way, expect to get it right back.
Just be warn about the sudden change in attitude with this woman. Very short tempered!

What a surprise! My husband surprised me with brunch to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The food was fresh, hot and simply delicious. I must say all the food was delightful but the shrimp and grits were AMAZING! Thank you Cody for the details you included and for being a part of our celebration.

Working with Chef Cody was a dream and she made every wish I had for my daughter’s baby shower come true! It began with incredible communication; brainstorming the menu and coming up with the most perfect and creative choices. Chef Cody was very attentive to details to stay on them with our colors and her display of the food was so gorgeous it became part of the decor! She added touches of gladiolas in vases and elegant edible flowers on the salad. I can’t rave enough about working with Chef Cody, she’s an absolutely lovely soul and pours it out into her food! Which, was the very best part!! Our guests (and myself) raved about the delectable choices and are still mentioning it to me when we connect. The cucumber sandwiches, the sweet little strawberry and cream cheese sandwiches, the cream puffs, the charcuterie with a goat cheese and honey comb that was like a taste of heaven, gorgeous romaine spears with flowers and the best dressing, and perfect club sandwiches. Every bite will fill your guest’s bellies with delight!! I was shocked when every person we invited SAID YES they were coming and my budget was already over; so I asked Chef Cody to switch out the mocktails for more food and she was so accommodating to help me make all the items we wanted to serve available and keep the mocktails too! I highly recommend Cody’s Belly Bites!

booking was very easy. responsive communication with the owner. food delivered as promised and timely. initial pricing fair, however a la carte charges for things i personally felt should be included in “drop off catering service” or at least disclosed in initial price quote. (i.e. additional charges for food warmers, tray holders, parking fees, “if she has to walk more than 1 mile” for delivery).
i booked during Black Yacht Weekend for delivery to the pier, as we had a boat rental for my birthday. one of the reasons i selected her for our yacht catering was she advertised familiarity with pier dropoff. the logistics were tough for all to navigate, as it was hot and extremely packed. by mistake, she left our plates, utensils, and cups in the delivery vehicle. although she did offer to go retrieve them, we were on a time crunch with the boat rental and did not have 45 mins to spare for that. we had to purchase those items at the pier (highway robbery). i tried to be understanding to that, as we mostly had finger foods.
we also were to receive water with the order and that was missing as well. it was almost 100 degrees, and we had no water because i was under the impression it would be provided, per our invoice. so we again had to spend additional money at the pier for water ($100 for 20 pack) on top of the money spent for utensils, plates, and cups at the last minute.
when reaching out to the owner for some sort of compensation/reimbursement for having to purchase items promised in the order, she took offense and i was told those things inherently had no value as they were “complementary”. funny, nothing was noted as complementary per the invoice and i paid every additional fee without complaint. i was offered a free dessert for the “next order”.
unfortunately, due to the service received regarding the missing items and lack of planning logistics wise, I do not recommend for pier dropoff. however, the food was fine. my only recommendation is using a team for such deliveries, instead of trying to do everything alone.

I hosted a networking event in Naperville and asked Cody for a 40 person setup. We had 2 tables beautifully set up by Cody with breads, cheeses, crackers, veggies, dips, brownies and cookies. Everyone was so happy enjoying the spread and raved about the pistachio cookies. Highly recommend working hiring Cody for any event!
