Dog friendly bar. I lived across the street 30 years ago took my first dog there. I moved away but every time I come back to visit I bring my dog. Great selection of beer, whether draft or bottle, or can you'll find something you like. There is a surprising amount of space, courtyard seating, as well as a small ante-room where you can hide and drink beer when it's lawn mowing day. Great place to go early. Good beer and spirit choices. Great staff. Quiet early, lively later. Hopping for Cubs games, before, during, and after.

Cody's Public House is a great neighborhood bar with a friendly vibe and a solid drink selection. The atmosphere is relaxed, with plenty of TVs for catching a game and a nice outdoor patio when the weather is good. Service is usually quick and attentive, making it an easy spot to hang out with friends. It’s not fancy, but that’s part of its charm.
