In Chi town for a few days, decided to try this place.Ordered on uber eats, the fried rice was 3/10, the goat meat was boiled and stewed , why could you guys not just fry your goat meat so it tastes good. The turkey was one bony piece of turkey for $5:99. You could have just given a descent piece of turkey, but No.
I will say that the moinmoin in the leaf was really nice. That was the best thing from my whole order.
I don’t know if I would have been served something better if I had dined in.
Overall I was dissatisfied and would try somewhere else next time.

This is the most disgusting place I have ever gotten food from. The food was in the fridge, who knows how many days old. I saw silver pans of food in a fridge, look like it was cooked elsewhere. I ordered beef and jollof rice. The beef was one big hard bone!! An inedible piece of mystery meat. It looked like a piece of meat they used to put in a stew to “flavor” the dish. I could not take one bite. Please do not buy from here they need to be shut down !!! $18 for bush meat and spicy unflavored rice! Disgusting!!!

Food was heated in the microwave not fresh. Service wasn’t too good they spent half the time in the kitchen.

I had never eaten Nigerian food, and the staff was very helpful in recommending dishes. I got the egusi with fufu, beef and chicken. They were also helpful in telling me how to eat it. I really enjoyed the food and will definitely be coming back. Now I just have to figure out how to reheat the fufu so I can finish my leftovers!

A Culinary Journey Through Africa – Unforgettable Experience!

From the moment I stepped into Comfort's African Cuisine, I knew I was in for something special. The warm, vibrant decor and rhythmic Afrobeat music immediately set the tone for an authentic and welcoming experience.

The food was incredible! I tried the jollof rice with grilled suya, and it was bursting with flavor – perfectly spiced, smoky, and cooked to perfection. The egusi soup with pounded yam was rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. You could tell everything was made with care and tradition.

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food and culture. They even took the time to explain some of the dishes to first-timers, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Whether you're familiar with African cuisine or trying it for the first time, Comfort's African Cuisine is a must-visit. Every bite felt like a celebration of culture, flavor, and hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back – and bringing friends!

Excellent Experience at Comfort's African Cuisine for a Special Celebration

We recently celebrated my son's graduation at Comfort's African Cuisine, and the entire experience was absolutely outstanding! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that made the occasion even more memorable.

The food was simply amazing full of rich, authentic flavors that brought back so many good memories. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, from the tender goat pepper soup to the flavorful jollof rice and perfectly spiced suya. Everything was fresh, well prepared, and beautifully presented.

The staff went above and beyond to make our celebration feel special. They were attentive, kind, and even offered congratulations to my son a thoughtful touch that meant a lot to our family.

Comfort's African Cuisine truly lives up to its name. It’s more than just a meal it’s an experience rooted in culture, flavor, and community. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to mark this important milestone.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy delicious African cuisine in a warm, family friendly setting!

When you get into a restaurant the first thing is to give you water or drink. How can you eat something without drinking water. That’s poor service.

had a terrible experience with Comforts African Food. I called to order meat pies since they weren’t on DoorDash, and they said I could. Later, they told me I could order a fish roll and they would give me a meat pie, but when my order arrived, the meat pie was missing.

When I called to fix the issue, they were rude and argumentative. I gave them my name for DoorDash, and the guy snapped, “Do you know how many George’s there are?”—so why even ask? I spent $76 here, and this is how they treat customers? Unprofessional and not worth it. Avoid this place.

Me and my siblings came here because we had been wanting to try traditional African food.

Comfort African cuisine did not disappoint, everything was flavorful and tasted amazing. Our server did an amazing job of describing everything and showing us how to eat the “traditional” way.

Give it a try!

I ordered Ubereats. Comforts is awesome! I tried efo riro. I usually get egushi. But both stews have this super unique, complex flavor that I cannot compare to anything else. The texture of fufu is also great and incomparable. The puff puffs are only $3 but they’re fried dough. Tasty but I’d try a meat pie or something next time. I didn’t see the atmosphere but delivery went smoothly. They were nice on the phone.
