Every time I visit Chicago I have to stop in continental and say hi to one of the nicest, greatest bartenders I’ve had the pleasure to receive a soda water and bitters from. His name is Kyle, but known to many as Tex Houlihan. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great soda water.

Represents the last bastion of authentic, neighborhood bars. This is how you kick it old school. As a 27-year bartender who has worked everything from dives to fine dining, this is my hospitality heart. Modern ‘mixologists’ could learn a few things, here. Cheers!
