I loved visiting Copal! Everything was a great vibe, beginning with the ambiance, but especially Javier plus the rest of the team who provided the best hospitality and a welcoming demeanor. The cocktails are incredibly unique and so delicious! The concept ties in the Mayan culture in several ways and is reflected in the food. The octopus was my favorite dish, but everything we tried as great!
We struggle to find Copal, not realizing it was inside Mercadito, but once we did, we had a great time. It's very cozy, with a lounge vibe. We had a bit of a wait but the servers consistently checked in on us. The small plates and cocktails were a great way to start the night. Each specialty cocktail had a wow factor to them and were absolutely delicious. Note that they cost about $25 each. Net net would definitely come back.
