I love this place! My friend and I came for Christmas Day lunch after church, and sat at a corner table, and had the best time!! We did the holiday dinner, and it was AMAZING! I actually added a bowl of Bookbinder Soup (you have to try this) because I hadn;t had it in over 20 years! (Last time was at The Cape Cod Room) Our server, I think his name is Daryl, told me the history of the soup! He was an amazing guy! Handled the crowd with professionalism, kindness, humor, and made the meal, as far as I'm concerned! Thank you everyone for a wonderful holiday lunch!

Classic and elegant with an old-school charm that feels timeless. The interior has a refined, understated vibe that makes it a great choice for a date night or a more formal dinner. The menu leans into traditional dishes done well, and the execution shows good skill without being overly flashy.
Service is attentive and polished, matching the upscale but comfortable atmosphere. Not ultra-trendy or loud, just a place that knows what it is and delivers confidently on

This was our first stop during our trip in from Phoenix and we were disappointed. Having grown up in the north suburbs in the 70s and 80s The Drake was always held in high esteem. We were expecting a high-quality experience.
This was a late afternoon/early evening so it was not very busy. There were many open tables to choose from. Everything started off well. Our food arrived and the brussel sprouts tasted good. When we asked our server what was in the odd jammy sweet mustard that came with our pretzel he said he didn’t know but would ask. We were surprised that he didn’t know the menu. We were even more surprised when he said that the mustard was something that was not made in the kitchen but purchased. We took our time eating and enjoying our drinks. Our server came by as we were nearing the end of our drinks and asked if we would like another. We said we would need a few minutes to decide. He then disappeared for the reminder of our time there - well over 15 minutes.
We were also surprised to see a table piled up with all the plates and glasses that had bussed from other tables. In the middle of what should have been an elegant dining experience sat a stack of dirty dishes. It definitely ruined the atmosphere. We the. had to ask one of the bussers for our check. When a few more minutes passed and a check had not arrived we estimated the total and dropped some cash on the table and left. As we were getting our jackets on in the lobby our server suddenly appeared and told us we were short a few dollars on the bill. We settled up and left. No reason for us to come back here again. A truly disappointing evening.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Review for Brian Martinez – The Drake Hotel, Chicago
I’ve been staying at The Drake Hotel in Chicago for over a week, and one of the biggest highlights of my stay has been the exceptional service from Brian Martinez at the bar and restaurant.
From the very first interaction, Brian has gone above and beyond to make every visit memorable. He provides the kind of service that feels rare these days—attentive, genuine, and consistently outstanding. Whether it’s recommending something new, checking in at just the right moment, or simply making you feel welcomed, Brian takes real pride in what he does, and it shows.
During a long stay like mine, you really notice who truly elevates the experience, and Brian absolutely has. He represents The Drake with professionalism and warmth, and he turned a great hotel stay into an exceptional one.
Huge thanks to Brian for the phenomenal service. The Drake is lucky to have him, and I look forward to coming back!

Tectonic plates move faster than the service here
Casual pub located inside the Drake, good for drinks or some food. They have TVs inside too.
Great burger! $24 for a burger seems reasonable in this area, especially for a hotel restaurant.
I asked for medium rare and they delivered on the temp. The bun was soft and the fries crispy.
Good place to use your Hilton amex credits. Much better food wise than LH Rooftop at London House

This little spot tucked away in the lobby of The Drake Hotel was a highlight of our visit to the city. The staff was engaging and kind – special shoutout to Jimmy! The Gold Coast and the Cran Sparkle cocktails were stars of the specialty cocktail menu.
We are definitely adding this place to our list for our next visit.

The food here is amazing, I had the 10 oz Manhattan steak, and the banana mussoline for dessert, service was great atmosphere is quiet and cozy. A little on the spendier side, which is to be expected for location and amazing taste. That did not stop me from enjoying my meal. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

This is definitely a great place to be. There were a lot of people in the evening and they were having a lot of fun. The room itself was cozy and nice. The breakfast in the cafe was great. To be honest, I loved the place, it was full of energy.
I have been trying for 2 weeks to make a dinner reservation at Coq D’or. On your website it says Reserve a Table. It’s pointless. After waiting for Google Assistant, then talking to people on help lines and being sent to multiple different people, I understand there are no reservations. How has the beautiful Drake Hotel come to this! I’ve wasted hours trying to make a reservation.
