Only go here if you like Hair in your food, owner refused a refund. Very unprofessional.

Arrived for breakfast early Saturday morning. Food was not fresh, the potatoes seemed stale and tough, the bacon added to my scramble didn't seem quite right, and the toast arrived without butter. A homeless man entered and tried to sit with us, generating high anxiety for our table. An employee shooed then out, but he returned less than 15 minutes later, and the employees failed to do anything for several minutes as he lurked near our table whispering things. Not recommended.

RIP Corner Bakery! I guess if you never visited a Corner Bakery ten-fifteen years ago this would be an okay casual place to pick up a sandwich and a treat, but this is not the Corner Bakery I remember.I decided to treat myself, eagerly anticipating what they might have on offer. What a disappointment! They've gotten rid of their special buffet-style display where we used to eagerly browse their hot selections before choosing something delicious to enjoy.I wasn't in the mood for a sandwich, so I got a slice of cinnamon-cream cake and coffee. Coffee was okay, but the cake was dry and tasteless. So, no more Corner Bakery for me. Only good things were the service and the location.

I got to admit, I first stepped in here to use the bathroom… being a business owner myself, I just “hate” it when folks don’t at least buy something… so I got a chai latté made with soy… it-is-A-mazing!!! The music is chill too… as you can see in the attached video. The 2 employees that took care of me (around 4:20 pm on February 29th) where awesome, I believe Deleon and a young lady… nice way to finish my trip downtown Chicago before I head on back to my paintball park in Quebec Canada! :-) Thanks you to the Corner Bakery for your kindness! Next time, I come visit family, we’ll stop by!

It was a quiet and delicious lunch in the middle of Chicago. I can imagine how crowded this place at night time. Everything looks superb and fundamentally in Chicago. Clean and rich, perfect and stable!!

Great service super fast and friendly.Had the avocado breakfast wrap with a regular sized vanilla cold brew, the wrap itself was decent and the sauce it came with makes the wrap a lot better. As for the cold brew it did taste a little watered down but for a great price of 12$! Total.

Food was good. Dining room was relatively clean. Bathrooms needed some serious attention in my opinion. They weren't filthy, but they definitely weren't clean. You can see ingrained dirt in the corners and the kids safety seat has visible dirt and grime on it. Yuck! My daughter loved her croissant. I had a lovely iced chai tea latte that I thoroughly enjoyed. My oatmeal was good albeit a little bit bland. Added a little pinch of salt to draw out the flavor and we were back in business. The blueberries tasted sweet and fresh! Hubby was frustrated when he ordered the eggs, toast, bacon and potatoes but it came with fruit instead. The source of his frustration being he wasn't told they were out of potatoes until after the fact (he's not a big fruit fan) and he still felt hungry after eating his meal. However, the manager or owner was much sweeter than the rest of the help and took an interest in our children. Gave my hubby a free cup of coffee. Thanks for that. He could tell we were traveling with our copious amounts of luggage and directed us to a door so we wouldn't have to get tangled up in the revolving door nonsense. We appreciated that. Kids want to come back again next time we find ourselves in Chicago!

Their dessert are always sitting out on display, and you would think that they wouldn't give you those that they are reaching and talking all over, but they have no problem serving them to you. I will not buy any cookies or cakes from there, unsanitary and hard as a rock, very dry pastries, yuck. And they don't care that the items aren't fresh. Ugh!!
