Food and drinks were excellent. Service sub par. Server basically left for awhile. Tip was already included in bill and there were only four of us dining. This should be left up to us. For lack of better words, the hand held strobe lighting, I guess meant to celebrate a birthday per se, made it feel like we were at TGIFridays.
There's so many places that go viral on social media and sometimes disappoint but I can say Costera Cocina Tulum did not. It was our first time there celebrating my daughter birthday and the staff was super friendly from the host to our waitress Vanessa. Will definitely be going back.
First time coming here and I loved it! The food was amazing, perfect amount of lighting & the drinks were great. No complaints here!
Wanted to try out a place with a little different take on Mexican food and we were not disappointed. The food and drinks were great and the ambiance of the restaurant was amazing. Wished we could have sat on there cozy patio but the weather didn't cooperate. Will definitely be a repeat patron on this place.
Very beautiful restaurant with good vibes and nice hosting team. It unfortunately took us 20 minutes to get a drink order in, and we never saw our waitress again to order another round. We both had tacos, which were just okay. The asada tacos in particular should be skipped. I would suggest this place for a pre-dinner drink spot and not for actual food.
The food was amazing. We went for a business dinner and as the night went on it was a little loud to have a business conversation but it was still a great experience.
The place is beautiful. Decoration and mood 😍😍😍😍 Service is a bit slow but it's understandable when short staffed. The food was over priced and below standards for a place in Fulton Market with “Hot Shot Chefs”- - The ceviche (Peruvian style) why? At a Mexican spot ? Was possibly the worst ceviche I've had in my life. It was fishy smelling - had no lime juice and was extremely spicy.... We asked for limes for the ceviche and got 4 wedges 🤣🤣🤣.... It was not enough lime to fix that ..... - Grilled octopus was decent, also a bit “fishy” by that I mean it needed seasoning and better presentation. - Carne asada was decent for a 6OZ with some flavor (thank God) and some boiled potatoes and chile relleno w some mole in it. Shout out to the staff that holds that place together ♥️♥️♥️ made our date night ♥️♥️
Overall great ambiance but that's All. For the price point it was Subpar and way overprice Quality just wasn't thier. Had high hopes for this spot and the transition to the club/ jungle feel that is promised on the website which transforms the restaurant into a nightlife atmosphere. What's told that that they no longer does that.
First of all, there's 0 mention of the horrible Parkig situation going on over here. For their prices they could offer valet parking. Second, I mentioned on the reservation that it was an anniversary dinner. So I don't expect to be sat at bar couch for an intimate dinner. Then to have to have a back and forth conversation about obtaining an actual table when their were PLENTY open was just very odd. I've never had a reservation anywhere in Chicago and be sat at the bar. The server really couldn't recommend any cocktails- “if you like mezcal, then get that one.” It was also apparent that the “dress code” was not being followed as I saw many enter not following it. The skirt steak was warm but not hot along with the rest of what was on the plate. The rice and beans lacked any type of flavor. The pork I got was insanely spicy, it was hard to eat. Definitely, don't ask for water because it's $9 a bottle. Very disappointing all around. Definitely a place to just come for a tik tok or Instagram story but nothing else. Would not return at all.

Great time, everything we ordered was awesome. Ambiance was good and staff was nice. We will be back!
Food and service was very good. My only complaint was that the noise level was incredibly high. We went with another couple and it was impossible to talk. I wish I had gone on a cooler day and sat outside. Nonetheless, as I said earlier, the food and service was very good.
Short but very pleasant. We thought it had a dance floor after hours, so we had a few shots and left.
First time here coming with my boyfriend. Birthday celebration, food was hands down soooooo good. service was amazing.
Mini trompo and the cavatelli pasta was amazing! Excellent service, and great atmosphere! We will return for sure.
