Worst service , was waiting at the door for 10 minutes. No hostess, no greeting. Finally I thought maybe we seat ourselves since the employees are just walking past us. Still no help finally go up to someone and ask to order. We were told there might be reservations at the several empty tables inside. Still 4 tables outside dirty and vacated. Learn to run a business .

Only came for the drinks but they were good. A solid brewery in a great location. It was a bit packed so seating was tight but that was not a problem for my wife and I who just wanted to sit, drink, and chat,

Came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday. When I arrived, I waited in line behind a customer. A few minutes another customer waited behind me. After helping the first customer to their seat, the attendant at the front (a middle aged lady with round glasses) ignored me and went to the person waiting behind me. When I said I was here first, she replied with a disdainful “I’m helping a customer already”. Later, I attempted to bring a chair next to my girlfriend, and the same lady raised her voice at me and said “YOU CANT SIT THERE”. I am so disappointed in being treated so poorly when I was perfectly pleasant with this attendant. Would not come again.

I recently hosted a birthday party on the second floor of Cruz Blanca Brewery, and it was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we walked in, the attentive wait staff ensured our group felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout the evening. The space was impressively spacious, making it perfect for our gathering. We never felt crowded, and there was plenty of room for everyone to mingle comfortably despite sharing the 2nd floor space with other patrons (since I decided not to rent out the entire floor for myself). The TVs were a much-appreciated addition, allowing for some of my friends who were Iowa fans to watch the game and add to the lively atmosphere. Everything was so reasonably priced – great food and drinks without breaking the bank! Emailing the events coordinator was incredibly simple and they were generously accommodating for what I was looking for. If you're looking for a fantastic venue for your next event, Cruz Blanca Brewery is definitely the place to be!
Over priced. Great staff.

Look at my reviews history… I do not give bad reviews. But I felt I needed to warn folks about what my friends and I experienced being sat at the first table directly in front of the host stand when you walk in…
If you’re asked “is this table ok?” — say NO!! Ask to wait for a different table or leave. Seriously. The room is air-locked so when the door opens, the whole table gets a blast of cold air the equivalent to a leaf blower. Multiple times our menus flew in the air from the gust of wind. I was facing the door, and when I saw someone approaching, every time I would tell my friends to brace themselves.
We asked if we could be moved, and our server said she would look into it, so we were hopeful they might eventually move us. We saw multiple other tables open up in the room and we were never moved.
The bottom line is… I honestly think it’s irresponsible to have a table there. It was very disruptive to our dinner.
I thought the food and margaritas were good.
I was very excited to try Cruz Blanca, but my experience was spoiled by two unfortunate, unforced errors. Right after we sat down, the restaurant sat at party with a large dog (not a service animal) right next to us. I'm allergic to dogs, and per Chicago law they are not allowed inside restaurants. It's unhygienic, and for someone with allergies, a serious barrier to enjoying dinner.
Also, a member of my group asked for a tequila menu, but was told they didn't have one. Our waitress recited a few options, and he selected one. When the bill came though, that drink was charged at $52 for a single shot. We were understandably shocked. If you don't have a menu, you owe it to your customers to alert them when a drink is WAY more expensive than they might expect. Management cut the price to $28, but still that's a crazy price for what wasn't even a particularly high end brand (Tequila Ocho).
I really wanted to like this place, but those two frustrations ruined what could otherwise have been a nice dining experience.

"Cruz Blanca in Chicago combines a craft brewery with authentic tacos, making it a unique spot for taco and beer lovers. Their wood-grilled tacos are perfect to pair with their craft beers. Try the pork tacos marinated – they are to die for."???

During a recent visit to Cruz Blanca in Chicago’s West Loop, we started with a ribbed Mexican street-style corn appetizer—perfectly charred and loaded with creamy sauce, cotija cheese, and chili powder, bringing bold, authentic flavor. For the main, I enjoyed cauliflower and octopus tacos, each with unique, delicious flavors; the cauliflower was perfectly seasoned, while the octopus had a rich, smoky taste.
Instead of beer, I went for the House Margarita—refreshingly authentic with the ideal balance of tartness and sweetness. Cruz Blanca’s vibrant dishes, distinct drinks, and lively atmosphere make it a fun-visit for anyone wanting a taste of bold flavors in a relaxed setting.

The pork belly barbacoa tacos boast an impressive depth of flavor, and the crispy onions add a nice crunchy element.
I visit Cruz Blanca fairly often as it’s just a few minutes walk from my place. Regardless, even if it were further away I’d make a point of getting here often. Since it is a brewery, let’s just say they have a great selection of top notch beers. From lighter lager types, to some tasty IPAs, to my favorites their bourbon barrel stouts. Add some excellent appetizers and entrees (the baja fish tacos are amazing) and superb service, and you have a great combination for an awesome place to dine!
