I've been wanting to try Cuenca's Bakery for a while and I'm so glad I finally had a chance to. The hornado was fantastic, the crispy skin on it is absolutely perfect. We also had tasty guaguas de pan and colada morada. I will definitely be coming back to try their other platillos. Delicious!

Hornado con Arroz was amazing. Rice is cooked to perfection, the Hornado has a perfectly crispy skin and tender meat. That combine with sides of salad and 2 pieces of savory and delicious Llapingacho just makes it so much better. My only complaint was the Pan de Guava. It was delicious, though it’s a bit too sweet for me, but that’s my problem not theirs. Overall, very delicious food and fair price, I’ll definitely revisit this place soon.

The hornado in Cuenca`s Bakery is a must-try. The succulent roasted pork is flavorful and tender, served with traditional sides for a truly authentic experience.

I really wanted to like this place---it felt rough and authentic, there were five tables and a mariachi duo on Saturday afternoon (22 April). The person at the counter was pleasant and helpful. We got the hornado and the secco de chivo to go. Both had a generous quantity of juicy meat. Unfortunately, both were salty---I don't mean a bit salty, but headache-inducingly, vein-poppingly salty. If Ecuadorean food is like this, we're not ever going there.
