Awesome spot — great beer, terrific food, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. I’ve been to Cultivate by Forbidden Root several times, and I’m always surprised it’s not busier. I’ve never even needed a reservation; I can usually just walk right in.
Sure, prices aren’t exactly cheap, but the quality totally makes up for it — both the beer and the food are consistently excellent. The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is modern yet cozy, and it’s one of those places that somehow manages to stay under the radar. Highly recommend.

Love this neighborhood spot. We come here regularly and always enjoy ourselves. The burger is fantastic. The Wednesday chicken special is ridiculously good. They had a trout dip on the menu at one point that I still think about. They usually have at least one fruited sour on the beer menu which I love, I wish they made more. Their cocktails are also excellent!
In general I find their dishes high quality like other trendy restaurants while the ambiance is very comfortable and casual which I like. Interestingly I tried the west town location and although it’s the same food I thought cultivate did it all better.

Not sure there's much I can add to Cultivate's string of outstanding reviews. Service and hospitality were excellent and our food--particularly the baby iceberg salad and mussels in jerk sauce--was delectable.
This was our first time at this restaurant. We liked the building and the decor. It was very quiet which was nice. But it may have been because there weren't a lot of people there. Food left a lot to be desired. Every dish had so many ingredients that you couldn't taste the flavor. Everything was very nondecsript as the result. It's like they couldn't decide on what to add so threw everything in. Instead of highlighting the flavor, they hid it. Scallops were served with pickled peppers which obscured the delicate taste of the main ingredient. Even the dessert had 5 to 7 ingredients which made it sound unappealing. This restaurant has the potential but needs a lot of work on the menu.
This place is amazing!
The food is good as well as customer service. And the ambiance was great!
The burgers are very good and theb Monday burger special is great! They have specials other nights as well as a happy hour. The menu has a lot of variety and vegetarian and vegan options. Our server vwas friendly and checked in on us regularly. The ambiance is bright and modern. Also it is clean and comfortable. We made a reservation but you could walk in and be seated. And the beer is good, too.

Great restaurant and brewery. I love their smash burger, and it happened to be a special every Monday when I was in the area, so I looked forward to going each week. My little man also enjoys their butter pasta and root beer. We enjoy sitting in the booths with the lava lamps.
When I saw they had a Valentine's special, I came with my wife and had a more formal dinner, and it was really fancy and delicious food, like they pour your soup out in front of you in a bowl filled with some herbs and stuff, which I was impressed with. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
The staff, also, has always been friendly and accommodating.

I recently went here and after they sat us down our waiter came by to tell us to leave because we had a stroller. Please note the restaurant was almost empty and our 3 mo old baby was just chillin - no crying, no annoying patrons. We were in a table that was far away where the hostess placed us for comfort with the stroller and then we just…got kicked out?

They kicked us out because we came in with a baby in a stroller… it was EMPTY
This is a restaurant we will return to! Excellent food and service, and a wonderful way to spend a special evening or everyday meal.

I had a beer flight and their seasonal cocktail, which was delicious and refreshing. For food, we had the beef short rib, duck dumplings, and mushroom pasta. Everything was amazing!

The beers made here are a nice twist on standard recipes we see everywhere—floral notes everywhere. Every beer has a note or involves a plant, which is cool! The best beer was definitely the triple IPA—using some very rare German hops there. The burger I got (not smash) was absolutely stellar.
Some of the best food in the city, doing some fun stuff with beer. And a wonderful atmosphere. 100% on par with the BR in west town, and 100% recommend this any day of the week!

Went for brunch with seven people. I do not for the life of me understand why it wasn't packed to the gills. The beverages were wonderful and reasonably priced. Everyone loved their meals, and the service was very warm and welcoming.
