restaurant is closed, the name of the new restaurant in this building is "BBQ and Szechuan Cuisine". i guess the owners of Daguan opened a new restaurant across the street called Legend Dumpling + Bao (that's what the staff at the bbq restaurant told us)

Confusing. Waiter couldn't assist with questions, waiter said that meal comes with rice, but had to ask for rice after the meat came. Food was cold and rice portion was fun size.

[Daguan Noodle] Chinese noodle restaurant located in Chicago Chinatown. I believe this used to be a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant. 1. Oxtail Rice Noodle Soup 2. Pig Intestine Rice Noodle soup 3. XLB The aesthetic was simple with traditional Chinese decor. The food was decent nothing crazy. The rice noodle is good quality, nice bounce, chew, etc. The soup base has flavor. Simple eats. The only issue I had was with the XLB. I expected more of a soup dumpling Bao but it was just a pork Bao, no soup inside. Service was good. We ordered as soon as we walked in and received food pretty soon after. Overall, 7/10. 2230 S Wentworth Ave Chicago, IL 60616

Beautiful place, friendly staff, and quick seating and service. My daughter ordered a jumbo shrimp bowl, spicy, and she loved it! My son and I ordered original pork and chicken, respectively, and I have never had such a bland bowl of food. The broth has no flavor, the chicken and the pork were not seasoned or marinated. The pork fried coating was tasty. I was so looking forward to going to Chinatown for authentic food, and I was so disappointed. The tofu squares were the only tasty thing in my bowl. My daughter didn’t finish hers because she was full - they serve huge portions! My son and I didn’t finish because, like someone else said, it wasn’t worth the stomach real estate for lettuce water. If you’re going, try anything other than original and you may be lucky. The pork egg rolls and bottled black sweet tea were amazing though!!! The pork buns were meh. I wish they served half bowls, so I wouldn’t be so sad to lose $30 on two bowls that were barely eaten.

It is not what it used to be. The soup is basically boiled water with half a sauce packet. They don’t serve gradients in small dishes. Instead now they throw all the frozen bits into the bowl and hope that you don’t notice that they were in a freezer two minutes ago.

I used to came here and eat tomato rice noodles…but when I come back again, their soup is so plain and taste like water :( the food is consist of frozen fish tofus which I can make at home as well. Also they took away the vinegar I asked for when I was still eating??? I really hope their quality gets back to usual so that I can eat rice noodles again

Delicious!! Went here on a weekend with a friend because all the other local restaurants had long wait times, and this place was FANTASTIC. Their noodle soups come in huge, spicy and yummy portions, and their bao's are so tasty. Service was super nice too!

To preface I have never had Yunan style noodles/soup before. The atmosphere was clean and quiet, and the employees were very helpful. But the beef soup was the most bland and untasty meal I have ever had. Never in my life have I stopped a meal early due to poor quality, but it was not worth taking up stomach real estate in Chinatown for this lettuce water.

The oxtail noodle was well seasoned. What stands out is the perfectly cooked rice noodles. My taste buds sang when these noodles touched my mouth.

I loved the guilin noodles and especially the pork buns! They're not like pork buns really, they're more like peking duck buns, and they're

The Best Yunnan Noodles I've Ever Had in the U.S.!I must say, the Yunnan Noodles at this place are simply outstanding! The authenticity of their food is truly commendable, and I especially enjoyed their delicious cold dishes and the delightful Xiaolong Bao. Being from North China myself, I can confidently say that their Xiaolong Bao tastes exactly like the ones I used to relish in my hometown during my younger days, and it truly brought back feelings of nostalgia and homesickness. The entire dining experience was wonderful, and the wait was undoubtedly worth it. This establishment serves incredibly authentic food that captures the true essence of Yunnan cuisine. I am already looking forward to revisiting this place again in the future!

Ordered from Ubereats for two beef noodle. There were no options for broth type, so obviously we assumed it was original broth, but when we got our food, we got one original and one tomato. When I called to check what happened, the lady who picked up said she just chose whatever because we didn't give an option. When we told her that there were no options, she kept saying that it was our fault.
