There's good reasons that there's usually a line at the counter. Don't worry it's a short line that moves fast. Locals get their bread there!

Dietary restrictions: I haven't found gluten free options

Kid-friendliness: Patients with small children is shown with a smile

Wheelchair accessibility: I think difficult but I believe anyone could ask for a bit of help. I will definitely ask about accessibility options next time and update this review.

I used to come here much more often bc it’s great. Not so much anymore. But went back recently and nothing has changed. Reliably great.

One of the best Italian sandwiches in town. A staple in the area. Buns baked in house. Giardiniera made in house. The sandwich is just a perfect balance of everything you could want. And don't get me started on the amazing pastries they have.

Had to take a moment to leave a review!! I’m from NYC living in Indiana. I heard this bakery carried Italian Rainbow Cookies. A staple in the East coast and hard to come across in the Midwest. I called this bakery after seeing Reddit reviews stating they carry them and the person I spoke with was super nice and did me a favor of holding a pound for me to pick up the next day. Thank you so much!!!! You just made a New York native so happy! They’re very delicious ❤️ I’ll definitely be back when I return to the Chicago area!!

This place is alright. We had the Caesar sandwich we had seen online and to be honest, not worth the hype.

Since it’s been around forever they may have some good items and I know they do a ton of shipping of their bread which is awesome but our experience was meh.
