The food is horrible. Disgusting!! I ordered smothered pork chops, greens, and dressing. Greens are straight out of the can. The food has no taste to it. Please don't waste your money it's not worth ordering from here. You will be disappointed 😞

The portion they give is a no for 18.00 The cabbage has no seasoning on it the dressing taste old and no seasoning on it the Mac and cheese needed more cheese and seasoning the chicken was ok. Overall 5/10 they need new cook and management. I won’t be going back.

Dan’s Soul is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Momma Dan is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Amazing soul food. Must come back. 10/10.

This is a disgrace to soul food. My first visit was February 3025 I bought the turkey wing and dressing meal. The grease on top of the dressing was thick like I was about to pan fry the wing. The dressing was ok. My second visit was 6/16/25: I called first to see if they had dressing because that’s all I wanted and trying to support black business: He claimed “I just cooked a fresh pan”. Cool. I get there he gives from the pan on the bar and says this the last: I’m like I just called and you said a fresh pan was just cooked. He says oh no that must been the other guy: That dressing was nasty with finger size bell peppers.in it. The rest of the food on bar was dried out. His attitude was nasty like the dressing: keep looking if you want good soul food to go: better yet cook your own it most definitely will be better than Dan’s

Very disappointed! ordered a vegetarian plate, yams and banana pudding. The portions were small, dressing was dry and no cranberry sauce. They were out of banana pudding so they sent me a bread pudding 🤢. I don't eat bread pudding!!

I've been eating here for years & the food & service has been on the decline for quite sometime now, the food has become less then horrible, not only did the food taste old but it's also incredibly overpriced for the portion sizes & the staff is worse than the food, they're rude, unprofessional & bummy, this place has become a bad joke, thank god for Ooo Wee & Bronzeville Soul, my family & I will never patronize this establishment again & I'm gonna encourage my friends to do the same. Congratulations Dans Soulfood, your atrocious food & sub standard service just caused you to lose a long time customer & I can guarantee that anyone who reads this, will not see a reply from the owner, because they obviously don't care anymore. They should just close before they get sued from making somebody sick!!! If you like good food, you should definitey eat somewhere else.

Food was ok. The macaroni was out of the box, the dressing was ok. The serving size of the food is like giving a kids meal. I wanted to try the yams but they wanted 3 dollars to put it on the plate because it's considered a dessert. No way
