The line ain't long cause it's rush hour because it's not rush hour. The line ain't long cause the service is slow because it's not slow. The line is long because the food is GOOD and people enjoy it!! I remember as a kid, in the late 60s to early 70s, waiting in line at Dave's for a bag of french fries that we would eat as an after school snack. The fries were good then and they're still the bomb today. They taste like real fried potatoes! Today's visit and lunch brought back good memories.Parking: Nearby street parking is available.

This place was fantastic! I ordered two hot dogs with mustard and onion, plus a diet 7-up. The dogs were hot and fries were perfect. The behind the counter service were 2 nice ladies and kept the line moving. The dark wood paneled interior was like a time warp to 1983; and these places are a great find in Chicago. When in the area next time, I'll definitely visit again.
