I waited literally 40 minutes for 2 vegan protein smoothies. The guy behind the counter couldn't have been bothered to help us. Seems like the last place he wanted to be.

I was in earlier today (10/20 around 10:30 am) and the woman working was juggling a lot. As a first time customer, she was very patient and answered all the questions I had. She was multi tasking and working the shift by herself so I appreciated the customer service and patience!

I had a great experience - and a great açaí bowl - at this Deep Purpl location. I've been to the Lincoln Park location, and this one is cleaner and gave me a much better bowl. I actually questioned whether the other one was the same chain because this one was so much nicer. First, big shoutout to the staff member working here around 5 pm on Tuesday 9/20. She was preparing a couple bowls when I arrived but still greeted me and apologized that there would be a little wait while she finished. Nonetheless, she still engaged me to ask if I'd been there before, noting the steps and the toppings, etc. In other words, giving the great, friendly customer service you hope for and often don't get anymore. She took my order of a 12 oz bowl with strawberries, blueberries, almond butter, and cacao nibs and proceeded to build me a beautiful bowl with just the right amount of each. It was delicious and constructed with care so it actually looked pretty, too. It was a little pricey, but I thought the quality of the ingredients was excellent (especially the berries. None of them were shriveled, bruised, etc). I'm definitely coming back here, and I hope she is working when I do because I know I'll have a great experience and delicious bowl. If she's not the manager, I hope whoever is sees this and recognizes what a great job she does!

I've never had a açaí bowl or been to this place but this bowl/smoothie was FYE (good) lol. The customer was on point and the options were good too. A little pricey but hey, you can't put a price on good quality.

Great Acai place. They offer smoothies, acai bowls with unlimited toppings, and plant-based empanadas with inspiration from different regions worldwide. Was not disappointed with the acai they had. The acai is a bit more icy or watery rather than creamy but it's delicious.

Best açaí in chicago!!!!!!!! I'm Brazilian and I missed açaí sooooo much! This place is Brazilian owned and has the best açaí I've ever had since I moved here. Great variety of toppings (my fav is powder milk & condensed milk) and good seatings. Love this place!

Simply the best thing to ever exist. It's almost too good to be true. I wanna cry every time I eat here... thank you

The hole in the açaí bowl top is so small I can't eat the toppings with a spoon. If I remove the lid all the toppings will spill. Poor design.

I was super excited to try their protein smoothies, but they only offer almond milk which I'm allergic to. They made it with water instead, which wasn't bad, but wasn't great. I wish there was more variety in the milks they offered. It would definitely haven gotten 5 stars from me then.

Açaí bowls are the main thing to get here. Deep Purpl has a few stores around town, so you can get to the most convenient location. It happens to have one in Wicker Park close to the Blue Line station. Basically it's the same menu. They also have juices and salads. Getting açaí bowls is a healthier alternative to ice cream. It's pretty expensive at a lot of these shops, but here it's not quite as much for this creamy product. They have about the lowest price you can get on an açaí bowl, with a catch though. It's $6.99 for a small bowl. This is the small bowl at this low price. Believe it. This thing is ridiculously tiny. A very good thing about it though is unlimited mix ins and toppings, so you can load it up and not be charged any more for it. They have almond butter, fruit slices, and granola among other things. Add ins are free. It means you can put in as much as you want so load it up. There's no charge for weight.

I'm sad I didn't discover this place until now! I stopped by for dessert one day after dinner because we were craving something sweet, but not too heavy and "healthier". Although at first glance, it looks pricey, I think it is 100% worth it and I would get this as a light lunch next time. They offer smoothies and acaii bowls, and you can choose between 4 different sizes. The best part is they offer unlimited toppings! They have a wide variety from fruits, to health foods (chia seeds, goji berries, etc.), nut butters, granola, etc. I will definitely be back next time to try other toppings. The service was great as well, the one young lady working there was super helpful once she learned it was our first time at the store.

The quality of the bowls is great. Then ingredients is always fresh. The girl making the bowls is REALLY slow. Even if nobody else is in the store, expect to wait at least 15 min.

The açaí flavor is great! Definitely best I've had. Overall just has a lot of flavor. "velvety smooth" if you must. A little pricey for the size.

I give this review two stars only because I love the quality of Deep Purpl. After today though I don't think I will be returning. The lady working behind the counter today had no mask on and touching her face while prepping food!! It wouldn't be a big deal but we are kinda in a pandemic with a very contagious strain going around. You think for the price you pay for a 16oz acai bowl you would get the service you pay for too. Makes me wonder what else they are doing while prepping our food? No mask? Sneezing? Makes me nauseous thinking about it. Shame!

Whenever I'm craving dessert but also trying to eat healthy, Deep Purpl is my go to spot for a tasty guilt free snack. The shop is small but adorable and very Instagram-able. Love that they have unlimited toppings here and all of the toppings they offer are high quality and fresh. Their prices are steep for the amount of food you get, but typically all healthy food tends to be more expensive. Beware: these bowls are addicting!! ;)
