I was not greeted as I walked up to pick up my order. I was told to wait. That’s fine but it’s not ok to prep six bowls and not ask what I need. I waited patiently for 5 minutes while bowls were prepped and my bowl was sitting there melting. Finally I had to ask for him to just hand me my order. He looked confused. I was confused and flabbergasted at the lack of customer service and how rude he was. It only takes 10 seconds to hand someone their order. Why make me wait like...
Needing a quick bite while we traversed downtown Chicago on Marathon Day (Our daughter was running in it), we happened by Deep Purpl. Empanadas are an easy sell and they had a good variety of them.
This is a small storefront that, as I recall, doesn't have a restroom for customer use. It's got a number of seats facing a large window facing Wabash Ave. Even on a Sunday morning the people watching was interesting.

Had a taste for a smoothie during my lunch and Deep Purpl was nearby. Order the Deep Green smoothie, which was solid. Tasted more like a juice than a smoothie, but good nonetheless.
