Stopped by Diner and Grill yesterday for a late dinner and loved the classic, old-school diner vibe with its counter and stools. Ordered the California burrito, egg breakfast, and pancakes. Everything was spot on and exactly what you want from a diner meal.

Unarguably the best restaurant in the world. Speaking as someone who's been to Morocco, China, India, Italy, Spain, Argentina, UK, Mexico, etc. The feeling upon receiving your dish at this restaurant is unrivaled. The quality is beyond reasonable expectations. The speed of preparation is blinding. The atmosphere is relatable. The price is unthinkable. This is hands down the best restaurant I've been to I'm my fortunately travel filled life. To put it simply, I feel as though I'm home for the first time in forever.

I genuinely feel like Diner Grill is a second home. I've always loved diners, and this place has everything you could want and more. The staff are great people, plus being open 24 hours is great for people who work in the evening (like me). If you haven't been before, you have to. 10/10 neighborhood spot.
The rudest workers I have ever seen. I have waited for my order more than 30 minutes, in fact they didn’t even started the order yet and saying if you want you can go somewhere else. I was very dissatisfied with this kind of service,, at least they could be a little polite

Extremely slow service I ordered takeout and walked in to pick it up I just had 2 items and the person said I will take 20 mins after 45 min some walk in dine in costumers came in and even they revived their food before me I finally revived my food after 1.5 hour they clearly don’t care about u if u order takeout.

It's a tight menu that basically never changes and is always done perfectly. The cooks clearly produce an incredible volume of food at all times of day and the product never suffers. Regulars and people who live nearby comingle with tourists and drunk passersby in an environment of nourishment and no-nonsense, but attentive service. Nothing like Diner Grill after a late night (working or playing). Always full. Always tasty. Always satisfying. Always fast. Always exactly what you need. Without exaggeration, one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. A damn good place.
5 stars hands down. Clean, service is great and the food. Drove across Chicago to eat here. We ordered Steak n Eggs, corned beef hash, onion rings and California burrito. The green sauce is incredible. We couldn't pass the opportunity for shakes togo, 1 chocolate and 1 piña colada. So freaking good. We will be driving back across Chicago again, very soon.
