we went on a Saturday night and this place was a vibe good music and good drinks. The drinks are pricey but its worth it especially the strawberry Casamigo! There isn't a large selection for the menu but I enjoyed the fried fish. There was no drama all fun!
I came here with a large group for a birthday and had a great time! The servers were so attentive and if we had any issues with our orders they made sure to correct it. The bottles were a decent price compared to clubs, and they gave a birthday discount. They played R&B and hip hop and gave us microphones so we were cutting up ? Definitely would go back!
We once lived across the street and would come in each weekend for a good time. They now charge $20 cover, drinks are small and weak, and the noise/violence from this establishment from the clientele has been out of control. I feel bad for the owner who is really trying his hardest to operate a great food establishment here but it’s certainly gone down hill from last summer.
Here I am trying to support a black business, ESPECIALLY on the north side of Chicago. I came here on a Saturday with my friend and immediately should have turned around when they charged us $10 to get in. After being searched, we walk in and the atmosphere isn’t welcoming at all. We look around because we aren’t sure if we seat ourselves or what. We end up sitting at the bar closest to the front door (no other seats were available and there was a private party in the back. The place is small.) no one asked if we wanted anything. We were offered nothing, not even a wave. Two waiters walked past us, including the bartender that looked us dead in our faces and said nothing. She looked as if she didn’t want to be there in the first place. She continuously walked past us because she was grabbing cups from the junky area we, unfortunately, had to sit by. We stayed maybe 25 minutes and that was because we were looking for another place in the area. Not one movie was playing either, all TVs were on sports. They had pictures of movies on the wall if nothing else. The food smelled good and the decor is nice, but the customer “service” was terrible! Don’t be fooled by the Instagram post. Never again
A rip off . Never heard of a restaurant charging you to get in to eat. They charge $20 for men and $10 for women. It’s not a club but they have security down your throat demanding the money at the door bring extremely rude. They said the cover charge would go towards the meal but it didn’t. Worse experience I ever had
The place was quaint and uniquely decorated. The waiters are very attentive with a comprehensive knowledge of the drink and food menu. We ordered a picture of Blue Motherf@$!%er and it seemed insufficient for five people but ended up being so potent the table had a hard time finishing it. The food was ok. The shrimp baskets were generous and well priced. For a small intimate gathering I would go again.
First and foremost this place is neither Dinner or a Movie...Its a clubI arrived on a Tuesday at 8pm. I was greeted with a $10 Charge plus searched by a security and off duty cop in FULL TACTICAL GEAR.COCKTAILS: No real bar. I say this because you cant order a regular drink it has to be one of the drinks they have pre batched for 14 to 18 bucks that comes in an 8 ounce cup full of ice. So I didnt drink it truly was a rip off.Movies: No movies playing. The two tvs were playing Channel 5 when I was there...but I love Chicago PD...commercials too lolDINNER: You only can order a meal not dinner with One piece of Fish/Waffle, 3 wings/Waffle or 5 Shrimp/Waffle all between 15.00 and 20.00. The food was decent but ONE FISH FILLET...No veggies. Only serve Coke or Sprite out of a two liter for 3.00 in an 8 OUNCE CUP.Music: Every song is loud with explicit lyrics. Like literally inappropriate to be eating "dinner"Decor: Christmas lights in the ceiling and a pink chair for it to look on line that its dope.Server: Very nice. This place is a club not a restaurant. But know you cannot or any drink besides them 5 they have pre batched and 40.00 Mimosas that come with 20% Andre Champagne (4.00) 80% orange juice they pre batch that for you too LOL.Not my cup of tea and was definitely not worth the drive
This place has delicious fried food. HOWEVER, the staff is very unprofessional when it comes to the overall experience. I have been here twice within the same month, and both experiences have been completely different. Both times I have came on a Sunday. You can tell there is a serious lack of communication amongst staff such as, reasons to their entry fees and poor service. Overall rude. My cousin made reservations for a party of 16 people. They charging some of us $10 (men and women), then 30 minutes later $20 entry free (men and women). The fee is supposed to go towards each individuals appetizer. They only brought a few out and then eventually said we need to share the rest of them. There is no tissue in the bathroom, and apparently they ran out of juice for Long Island cocktails at 7:20pm. They didn’t express this until it was asked why the drink was taking so long. They also had our party of 16 squeeze in a corner instead of just giving us 2 tables. They were rude about it and it took persistence for them to allow us to move in another area that still barely accommodated the 16 of us.
We had a reservation for my daughters College Graduation for 5pm, the owners pulled up and parked w/ us @ 5:05 pm. It wasn’t open on time, as they were bringing items in. Once we walked in we were hit with a cover charge @ the door. $10 was no issue but it would’ve been nice to know ahead of time to let our guests know what to expect. Then when going to bathroom, there was no tissue, soap, toilets were left un-flushed & filled w/ urine. When telling the bar maid, she said they usually don’t open to 7pm- okay then why ask us to move our reservation up? They later explained that staff called off & they didn’t have much help. Drinks were terribly mixed and the staff of men were very aggressive & disrespectful towards women. Atmosphere was pleasant, food was okay, location good. Tried to support a Black Owned establishment but they definitely need to step their game up. I gave it 3 stars because overall- our party enjoyed themselves.
My first two times there was lit ? But after returning for a 3rd time!!! I must say disappointed!! Charging $10-$20 at the door unexpectedly. The drinks are too high for a baby cup. Chicken was horrible. They clearly fried it in the same grease as the fish. The waiter brought out the bill before I can even eat first that’s pretty rude. Who said I didn’t want to order more. Never going back because the establishment has become a money hungry business.

Very stylish and elegant. Also super fun and lively. Food is good service was awesome.
We made reservations and still had to pay a cover charge. The place is too small we were bumping elbows with the table next to us as some girls are twerking right beside us while we’re eating. The music was way too loud so you can’t have a conversation. Wish they would make a distinction as to if it’s a club or a place to eat. Also, if I’m paying a cover charge and 14 dollars for drinks I don’t expect a small sample cup for liquor.
Giving 2 stars on these issues only... The staff although friendly.. Very inexperienced they are all over the place.. I understand the busy atmosphere but if you finish initial orders at a table then you'll have less confusion and ppl who dont have a drink or food which I wait more than 30 minutes after I ordered to get my food.I walked to the bar 2 just to get a drink. I really hope the staff gets tightened up. The location is awesome, menu small but descent food. The decor is a little kiddie but it goes with the younger crowd they cater to. The Charge at the door should definitely be announced or made aware b4 you get there... People like to know what they're getting into beforehand.
A very elegant and up to part lounge it was fun delicious drinks, food was on point, oh & the music was the bomb if you ever in Chicago or live in Chicago this place is a must to go to…. HAVE FUN!!!!
The staff was very friendly! From the security greeting us at the door with jokes and smiles to the bartender and hostess! A mixture of R&B and Hiphop music! The place is a vibe! It also has really good photo ops! If they can create more bathrooms & use bigger cups for the drinks, it would be perfect lol. Highly recommend for a girls night out or if you’re just looking for a laid back fun night!
