Nice hang out to sample a variety of craft beers, seltzers, sours, or whatever you're into. This is mostly self service pours with a card tracking your balance.

Arrived at 9:30 and the server said their kitchen closes at 9:30ish…clearly other people were placing orders still. First time and last time.

I dislike this concept. I like going to a brewery and talking to someone. Ask question about the beer, the process, what going out next? There is 4 or 5 breweries with a couple offerings per brewery. You swipe a card, poor your beer and it tells you what you spent. Multiple issues. If the beer has a ton of foam you pay for the foam. There is no way to get a tasting (i may have missed it if there was a way). The computer will not say hey great conversation, this beers on me.

District Brew Yards offers a unique self-serve beer experience in a casual, cafeteria-style setting. The space features brews from four different breweries, a BBQ counter, and plenty of party games to keep things lively. The self-pour system makes it easy (and fun) to sample small pours and try a wide range of drinks beyond just beer.
The food is hearty and satisfying, though it’s not necessarily a destination for the food alone. Pricing isn’t especially budget-friendly, but it’s more about the experience, and our group had a great time overall.
Weather permitting, there’s also a nice patio outside. It’s easy to reserve tables for a group by calling ahead.
All in all, it’s a fun, low-key spot to hang out and taste a variety of beers in a laid-back setting.
I recently went on trivia night and the atmosphere was so inviting and fun! Loved it. The beer was great, my favorite was Amber mexican lager, I definitely recommend! They also have a patio to sit at with lights and provide board games too!

Very friendly staff, really nice outdoor patio and never overly-crowded! Also enjoy the bbq food options they have, but they’re definitely sized to share.
It’s a really interesting concept. You can try several breweries in on place. Beautiful spacious place. Very nice patio. However, it self pour service and it’s much more expensive than any regular breweries we have been. 16oz pour will come up around $10.50 . We usually pay $6-8 in other breweries. Food was just ok. My husband had cheeseburger and I had fried chicken sandwich. Chicken sandwich was the best of all but fries- they were the worst we ever had. They were cold, probably it have been sitting there for a while. Still have this bad taste ..
Overall, interesting place to visit, but skip food.

Totally forgot to cook my order. Fries were cold and tasteless. Will not go back.
Fascinating and interesting. Different from other eating establishments.

Unfortunate that there’s no vegetarian option on the menu and they don’t allow outside food. Would appreciate them adding a second restaurant or improving the menu options for veggie protein. Otherwise, vibes are fine.

Interesting setup where you self-pour your own beers. Good indoor and outdoor area, kid friendly (at least before 6pm), and food was good. It's about 20 minute walk from the CTA Blue Line Division stop for any out of town vacationers like ourselves vs. the Damen stop we started at.

It was hot inside for this second visit. Also they removed the delicious NA non-thc/cbd drink and added more alcohol. I felt very excluded. They said they put in cocktails instead. Feels very icky to see that happening. But I do love not having to deal with staff. It made getting what I needed wayyyy easier.

This place is great to enjoy with or without a group. I like the board games available. I like the variety of food. I like the self-service concept when it comes to tasting brews. Plenty of space. Only reason for not 5 ⭐ 's on atmosphere, chairs were uncomfortable.

We love District- there's an amazing selection of different rotating beers and there's something for everyone. I love sampling and trying new types of beer but my wife (who isn't the biggest beer fan) can find a a good amount of ciders, seltzers and other drinks that she enjoys also.
We bring friends and family from out of town here all the time and they love it like we do. Their BBQ (loaded nachos, brisket fries, sliders, etc.) is INCREDIBLE too
