Hadn't been to Docks in years. I ordered the fish sandwich and the Philly Eggroll. The sandwich was delicious, probably the best sandwich I've had. The lettuce the tomato the bread, went together very well. The eggroll was just okay, but I'll try different ones to find out my favorite.

I wanted perch and catfish. In all the years Docks has served Chicago, I had never ordered from them. I usually go to J&J Fish. However, the one in my neighborhood changed ownership, and with the change, the oil they use to fry leaves a lot to be desired. So, since it's Lenten season, I wanted fish. Hot and tasty. Will go

I havent had Dock's for probably more than 3 decades. My mother loved the fishwich, I preferred the shrimp. This was the Docks on 87th (?).I passed this one not too long ago, and just recently ventured in for a bit of nostalgia. This particular address was brightly lit, clean, friendly personnel. My sister and I ordered 2 fishwich combos (that's sandwich, fries, cola), and i found the sandwich, for the 1st time, delicious. The fries were so-so, but I even finished my pop. I had requested hot sauce and cocktail sauce on the side and received a few packets of each, which hit the spot.I intend to return next week, because the curiosity turned into a craving.
