I went in to buy a bag of beans for a friend that is well versed in all things coffee and the barista was very helpful in helping me pick the perfect roast. You also get a complimentary cup of coffee when you buy a bag. Well worth the visit. Thank you!

I love the food here and the coffee is solid. I just never know what version of the server behind the counter I’m going to get. 9 times out of 10 it’s an annoyed person who does not want to be there which is such a bummer. The manager who used to be there was very friendly even when I could tell she was tired and over it, She still mustered up a smile and a good attitude. Maybe they need to pay them more. Not sure but I would probably go here daily if I didn’t feel like I was bothering the staff. If they do hire anyone new they should take into account that it is across from a school so there will be annoying kids in there. May want to be ok with that before taking a job here.

Dollop Coffee Co. is a dependable neighborhood café with a relaxed, modern vibe. The space feels comfortable whether you’re stopping in for a quick caffeine fix or settling down with a laptop for a while. I ordered a latte and it was smooth and well-balanced, with nice foam and clean espresso flavor. Their pastry selection looked tempting, and the one I tried was fresh and not overly sweet. Staff were efficient and friendly without being overly chatty. Overall, it’s a solid Chicago coffee spot that does the basics really well.

I don't like to leave a bad review, as this has been my local coffee shop for 6-ish years and I've honestly enjoyed it all that time - the coffee is solid, the old baristas were so lovely, and it was a pleasant place to get some work done.

In the last couple of months staff has changed over and I have had a bad experience every single time I've gone in. From forgotten orders, to borderline rude interactions; it just feels really unwelcoming now.

I now go a little out of my way to grab coffee at Spoken, Bad Coffee, or the great newish Q'bo on Ashland, where I've been helped and welcomed.

I genuinely want to support small businesses, but this experience made it hard. A basic drip coffee and an overcooked bacon-egg-and-cheese on a bagel with potatoes came out to $19, and the sandwich was hard as a rock. If small businesses are serving food like this at these prices, it’s no surprise people default to cheaper junk-food chains instead.

Service is pretty bad. You walk in and you feel like an inconvenience for the staff. Sometimes it's so bad that I want to walk out. BUT, since this is the closest small business coffee shop, I make the decision to come here instead of the local Sbukx around the corner. Sorry to the owners but the service is terrible here.

I honestly enjoy coming here even tho it’s quite pricey, but I can’t remember the last time I’ve came in here and had positive service. I always get treated like an annoyance, it’s quite uncomfortable ordering here because you are greeted with glares and a straight face, barely any words said to you besides “size?” “Hot or iced?” Sometimes I say something and instead of using words the woman just raises her eyebrows or does the :| face. Like I get its repetitive but also it’s not my fault? Thats literally the job at a cafe. So honestly I can’t justify paying more to be treated like that

I went to dollop around 11a on a Sunday morning. I asked about the availability of bagels because they weren’t out for display. They had three kinds, plain, everything and sesame. Two plain bagels were $10. A side of cream cheese is included, and you cannot opt out to lower the price. In what universe is bagel $5 each, even with cream cheese? Then I proceeded to wait, wondering why if they were just going to put two bagels in a bag for me. When the bagels came out of the kitchen I asked if they had been toasted and they said yes they automatically come that way so you have to specify. However, they did not specify that with me before I ordered nor did they clarify when they put the order in. I would not recommend or come back to dollop due to the price service and below average quality of the bagel.

No greeting when I entered, ordered the 2*2*2 at the counter. Counter girl didn't ask how I wanted eggs cooked and I forgot to specify, so they came out over easy (uncooked). Bacon was tasty, but had consistentcy of beef jerky. Pancakes were dry and tasteless, maybe the worst I've been served in a restaurant. Really awful experience for over $20.

Best latte I've had in a long time. Miso caramel oat milk latte, perfect heart shaped froth design, lightly sweet, layers of complexity- just- chefs kiss! Spinach and feta pastry also delish.

Loved the coffee, the food, and the vibe. Lovely outdoor seating area, too!
