Clean and quick. Definitely a regular breakfast spot for who actually live in the area.

Everything a "diner" should be. Welcoming man at the grill/counter late-night is great. Food was fresh and well-prepared.

Great quality food made with care. The Double Cheeseburger is the real deal and a really decent price. Will definitely return

Today was my first visit. The food was very tasty. I ordered breakfast. Disappointed they didn't have waffles & the grits were microwaved. The guy sitting next to me came in with a body odor covered with cheap deodorant. During my meal, he decided to blow his nose right next to me & my food. I told him, "Disgusting!" He didn't apologize, but proceeded to put the mucus filled napkin on the same table people eat off of. No need in reminding an elderly man he is nasty.

Don's grill was so incredibly fast and good! 🔥 We walked right over from Douglas park where our music festival was and even though only 2 people were working, they were hustling and gliding like pros! 🏃♂️💨 The food was really good and all of it was made to order right in front of us. 👀 The patty melt was exactly what I needed and the breakfast was grubbin'! 🤤

If old school diner is what you like then Dons Grill is perfect. Food and service are both great. It’s small and old, But clean. And I can definitely appreciate being open 24 hours, plus easy on the pocket.

This diner came recommended on the Riot Fest app. It was just the thing to refuel after sweating it out for hours in front of the various stages.
Don himself was manning the grill and taking care of everyone at the counter. There are only about a dozen spots at the counter, which makes it easy for him to have a friendly conversation with everyone. He hooked us up with cheeseburgers and fries and kept the raspberry tea topped off. I don't know if it was the post-concert hunger or if that really was the best burger I've had in a while, but the grilled onions might have tipped the balance with my taste buds. The rest of the folks in there seemed to be regulars and I can see why they keep coming back. Don not only made some great food, he made us feel like we were just friends who hadn't stopped in for a while.
It's a limited menu, but exactly what I'd hope for after a show or clubbing. A+ diner fare all around.

We were craving Dons Grill burgers today, and since we were by the area, we decided to order. Totally different burgers from what we remember. Quite honestly tasteless, dry, and flavorless. Very disappointed because I paid $50 for 5 burgers and were not worth the money nor calories. Didn’t even finish mine!

Bruh I tried asking them one type of oil they used before I placed my order, and the dude said “we use a lot of oil bro why are you asking for that” like that’s not what I was asking. I understand y’all aren’t a health place but holy, is it not okay to ask. No need to be rude bruh, I just like to know what I be eating. Service is a 0/10, listen to the negative reviews
