Moody atmosphere in a good way. It has that swanky Art Deco speakeasy vibe, and the music music is almost always at a volume one can hear without being offensively loud. They offer interesting crafted cocktails and the bartenders are quite friendly. Me and my gf had a great time here while traveling through Chicago.

The bartender Lou was literally the cutest and kindest ever. There was another bartender and I can’t remember the name, but was also so precious and funny and kind!!!

I rarely write reviews , but I stopped by here on whim with my girlfriend while visiting from Minnesota and had an amazing experience . It was the first time either of us had been to a sapphic bar and Dorothy did not disappoint . Super cute and cozy atmosphere, great drinks and good prices . Would recommend to anybody , but especially queer women looking for a safe and fun night out .

The drinks and atmosphere are 10/10! (Even the bartenders got up for karaoke!)
Beat bar in the city. Great programming, welcoming environment, some of the best bartenders in Chicago, just overall the place you wanna be. My only complaint is I wish they had more beer taps!!!! It would be LIT to have more taps. But their beer selection is still ok, their cocktails are creative and delicious, and overall again I reiterate the best bar in Chicago.

We love a retro lesbian lounge/bar! What a fun, exciting, safe, & welcoming space for queer people. From comfy couches, to a cute photobooth, & creative cocktails (with non-alcoholic options too)! My girlfriend & I loved our time here, & it was unlike anything we’ve experienced. This was our first lesbian bar we’ve been to — it was such a special & romantic time.
