Drink Happy Thoughts is a great little spot in Uptown—cozy, welcoming, and very neighborhood-forward in the best way.
The Butter Me Up drink was the clear standout: a perfect balance of sweetness and espresso, smooth and incredibly well done. The Bee Sting was good, but I would’ve loved a bit more kick to really make it pop.
Food-wise, their breakfast sandwiches are fire. The Notorious with pesto was a fantastic start to the day—flavorful, satisfying, and clearly made with care.
Really happy to have found this local gem. Will definitely be back.

What a beautiful day to stop by again! The Bagel sandwich and the in-house Chorizo empanadas were to die for. The sun exposure at the window was the cherry on the sundae. DEFINITELY ADD THIS COFFEE SHOP TO YOUR LIST!!

Small coffee shop with a solid selection of specialty drinks along side a few sandwiches and pastries.
Seating is very tight, maybe space for 10 at most. Decor and art are nice and the place has good vibes.
Sandwiches could have been a bit better, maybe needed some kind of sauce. The drip and specialty drinks were very good though.

You cant have outdated pictures and menu on your business and lead people in with false advertising. There is no acai bowl here, and the pictures of it should be taken off by the owner.

It’s a convenient and local spot. I’ve been many times, but my latest time I was overcharged for my food and I felt like they wanted me out as soon as possible, despite it being empty. The owner was not friendly, and gave me a cold croissant; I wouldn’t have tipped (which you’re prompted to do so before getting your goods) if I knew the service would be so dismissive. I overall like the shop, but I haven’t enjoyed my past few experiences, and I think it’ll be a while before I go back. Also no more dogs.
Given the response I have updated my review. I was there my there with my partner who also felt the same. To be potentially gas-light by the owner is something all customers can expect if they speak up.
I ordered a honey and cinnamon latte, it was really good and came in a cute honey bottle! Not too sweet and still able to taste the espresso. Service was friendly. Super cute shop, small but several places to sit. Parking was also not bad.

Stopped in for iced coffee on a hot day and was NOT disappointed!! Great prices for a fancy latte in chi... And the customer service was great! The guy at the counter making drinks was really chill and was chatting with me and a guy who seemed like a regular... And there was a little group having coffee together in the corner too... Great AC and vibes!! I'd highly recommend grabbing a brew and sticking around for a little while, it's super cute and a nice environment.
