What a great first trip to the bar. Has a good vibe and they were playing college football on the TVs. Had a salad and a side of mac & chesse, which is always how I rate pub food is the sides. Lol The drinks were good. Had an Black Walnut Old Fashion and a Mule. Both were great and look forward to going back and trying others. Next time may also have get a Guinness....to finish the full review. Haha
Lovely space, excellant Shepard's Pie (really Cottage Pie--beef, not lamb) and Chicken Pot Pie. Prices were reasonable, given location, fare, and white tablecloths. Highly recommend.
I love D4 and on a beautiful September day being able to sit outside is the best. One small problem in this instance was that a small rat kept jumping around between the tables. I thought he was gone and then he reappeared right under my seat. I screamed and our server was as upset as we were. She moved us inside ASAP apologizing profusely. The restaurant definitely needs to put out more traps or deterrents out. The manager didn't seem concerned one way or the other—said...
