I really wanted to write a glowing review for this place. The waitress was very nice and the gnocchi rivals some ones I’ve had in Italy. We had 4 dishes and then ordered dessert. Unfortunately, we ordered the gelato for dessert - two scoops that came out together and the coffee flavored scoop was absolutely freezer burnt and inedible. Spoon was bouncing off of it! After we noticed that we didn’t finish dessert. We showed the waitress and told her. They still charged us for one scoop of gelato. $3. Half price off of something inedible. Tacky and ruined the whole experience for us. Considering they served us bad food the least they can do is not charge us for it.

Server forgot our order then lied about it, saying “ it was busy” and that our food would be right out ( which it wasn't). No apologies and server then avoided us the rest of the meal while owner was defensive and short with us. Money was taken off bill, but waiting 45 minutes for our food ( while others got their meals in half that time) ruined the night ( we had a concert to get to, and had to rush out).
I took my 13YO daughter here for a pre-concert meal. We love Italian cuisine but are picky eaters with some dietary restrictions, including gluten and dairy allergies. They were very accommodating and offered gluten free pasta. I had the Italian sausage marinara and my daughter had the bolognese. We raved about our delicious meals for the rest of the evening! We also enjoyed the antipasto appetizer. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere cozy.
Great pasta dishes in a lovely outdoor garden, and friendly and efficient service. It is an absolute shame that this restaurant is closing due to the property being sold. ? Hopefully they will find a new location soon! ??
A beautiful evening with outstanding food. Every dish we had was exceptionally prepared. I would love to get the pesto sauce recipe....we suggest starting with the calamari and the burrata. Thank you!
Great food, great ambiance. Amazing patio! Highly recommend this place. There is usually street parking available or use a lot across the street.

Punishing levels of ambient noise. Don't come here if you're interested in what your dining companions are saying..

What a delightful find. We have been coming to Lincoln Square for years and missed this spot . So glad to gave it a try. Great food and lovely ambience . We will definitely make return visits
I love Due Lire. It's been a while since I was there last, but it is still the same wonderful quality. The outdoor area in the back is very nice with lovely plants. I especially like the short rib ravioli in a delicious mushroom sauce. The dish has been renamed but the same that I remember. Musta salad and chocolate cake also delicious.
It's a great neighborhood low key place.....beet salad was so good, (we asked them to put use champagne vinaigrette, as opposed to the bacon vinaigrette) and pasta for dinner also very good.
I recently had dinner here and had a disappointing experience. The lasagna I ordered was barely warm, so I had to send it back. The replacement lasagna contained a meatball, which is not typical for traditional Neapolitan lasagna. Someone that appeared to be a manager attempted to convince me that the inclusion of meatball was typical for Napoli. Unfortunately, the overall quality of the food was subpar. And as someone else mentioned, the restaurant is kept very cold.

The food was AMAZING. Absolutely incredible ravioli and eggplant. The inside is slightly cramped but cozy. The only thing I would say is the servers were slightly rushing my group of 3 the whole time.
