Just walked in to check it out, and it was a pleasant surprise. We had a dinner reservation, so we didn't get to try their food, but the bartender was awesome, and the place is super cozy and neighborly. Will definitely come back here next time in the neighborhood (& try the food!)

I was a big fan of the old location, and high hopes coming back after many years. Unfortunately it did not live up to the nostalgia. The new space has similar decor, but lacks the warmth and old timey pub feel of the old one. The chips were good, but the fish was slightly overcooked, and the batter was greasy instead of light and crisp. Service was inattentive and slow, with the staff hanging around a table and chatting amongst themselves. Seemed like no one was managing the place. Sad to see a great spot go downhill, but I won't be coming back.

My first Scottish pub. I’ll be back for the food!

Great place. Best fish and chips in Lakeview.

RIP Renaldis. Happy to know that Duke of Perth and their fish fry has not dropped in quality with their new location.

Worth the wait.

Nice atmosphere. Fish and chips are some of the best around. $20 all you can eat special is awesome on Fridays. And busy

Best fish and chips in Chicago.

I love this place, and my dad, who lived in England for most of his life, says their fish and chips are the most authentic he's had since coming over to the states!

*Update: their new location is really nice, only a short walk from where they used to be, and much more spacious. Same great food!

Fish and chips inconsistent texture color and greasy. Bartender kept going outside to smoke and did not wash hands before getting back to serving.

I’m planning a trip to UK now, but I’d be very afraid to try fish and chips there, because very possible they wouldn’t be as good as the fish and chips here😅

Old favorite. I'm probably just nostalgic, but the Sheppard pie was delicious and the beer selection good. I miss the scotch egg though. Staff were friendly, quick, and courteous.

Love the new location!! So cozy! They carried the goodness along and left the dust behind. Like everyone, highly recommend the fish & chips, but the veggie goat cheese sandwich really hit the spot for me this last time. Great tap selection.

The Duke's hospitality was amazing! We order the fish and chips that arrived at our table hot and fresh in a very short time with generous portions of cod lightly battered crusty and golden paired with a delicious tartar sauce. I like malt vinegar on my fish which was promptly given when asked. Loved the atmosphere with a feeling of a bygone error tastefully decorated with a well stocked bar of bourbon whiskeys and ryes. Caroline was our server who was attentive to not only our table but to several others. It was a fullhouse and the folks kept coming in while we were leaving. I highly recommend The Duke of Perth and will make it a regular stop when visiting family and friends in Chicago. Great food great area qnd location is among retail and other restaurants all within walking distance making it an overall enjoyable experience!
