This southside staple has passed the test of time.If you are a house head WOW, Friday nights are unbelievable. This place stays packed. Get there early to get a spot inside. As for dancing, the dancing area is limited due to the size of the bar and the number of people that are in attendance.If you are a visitor to Chicago and want to experience the nightlife, then Friday's nights at Dukes, it is a MUST.

Nice adult bar atmosphere not a whole lot of seating. Early arrival suggested same for parking especially on Fridays. The DJ is awesome they do not sell food but will let you bring food in from local restaurants.Parking: Share parking with another restaurant. Will get towed if in Restaurants parking spaces.

The customer service sucks! The water was on the opposite end of the bar and the bartender told me "it's over there." Anothe bartender over charged me because she didn't have change and refused to serve me when I told her that was her tip. This place SUCKS! The HREAT part was DJ MOOK! He was AWESOME!!! Just another hole in the wall

This was once a nice mature atmosphere to unwind after a long day of work. The crowd has become wilder and younger and so has the bartenders. It's best to visit this lounge before noon. I made the mistake of stopping by on certain nights and I left immediately. On four occasions, I walked in and walked right back out. Some of the guys were too flirty and persistent. Guys were yelling across the bar to new female patrons who were disinterested. They were being disrespectful and you could tell that the ladies were uncomfortable. There was no real security guards, they have what you would call "neighborhood runners", that run errands for the owners. The bar furniture has been updated a little. The music was good. Parking was okay, although you might have to circle the block a few times.If you're looking for a nice mature atmosphere to unwind, I encourage you to consider some other places first.
