Our first stop at Earls, we had no idea what to expect, so were looking forward to our own experience.
The restaurant is nestled in an outdoor "modern mall" with an amazing and expansive patio that sits inward to the mall - we were there as they were changing out the flowers to the fall mums - beautiful.
We waited and ordered off the happy hour menu, worth it for a half off bottle of wine and several other cocktails - margaritas shown in pic. We had the corn & avocado dip, that was the only gluten free option available on the happy hour menu (only real ding for overall experience, limited GF options). Service was good, they must do the rotating server model, as we did experience three different individuals - it is a bit confusing as to how gratuity is handled.
Overall, great time and we will add to our list. The best thing, easily walkable from our condo!

Ube Chicken noodle dish (nothing to write home about) and coke ($4 something) was not worth the $38 I paid and wasted. Never received a refill on Coke either. I also think their tip calculator is based on the after tax total. Should have gone to Nando's Chicken and saved my coins.

The place is beautifully decorated. Service was very slow, even though there were hardly 5-7 small parties seated. The food was incredibly underwhelming and lackluster.
The Ube noodle dish was one note--citrusy. No flavor development or much technique. Just because you have purple noodles doesn't mean you skimp on flavor. The dish didn't match the price.
The tofu lettuce wraps lacked filling. Most of the lettuce wraps were just... lettuce. Hardly any filling and again, minimal flavor development. Also, the lettuce wraps did not need to be pre-filled. Just give diners the filling and lettuce on the side for us to fill them.
Somehow my kids' quesadilla even looked lackluster. We surmised that it may have been filled with American cheese. Also, who does quesadillas with corn tortillas?
None of what we ate was worth the price. This is a "cute vibes" place. Nice patio. Nothing else.

Our sirloins were overcooked by almost two temperatures (medium rare as medium plus, medium as medium well plus) . One steak came with 4 shrimp (the shrimp were late) that were just okay; I would have preferred them to be grilled rather than sautéed. The mashed potatoes were dense and not very garlicky and came with fried shoestring potatoes on top that did not add much. The broccolini were a bit bland and hard. French fries were good. Our server was excellent!
