I’ve been coming here for years seems lately each time I come service in the food is becoming less and less desirable, ordered a gyro, took way long with no other people ahead of me, gyro finally got to the counter, the bread was cold like just out of the cooler the gyro meat was cold and no sauce, I asked for the gyro sauce and was just mayonnaise.
I don’t think I’ll be back with the lack of attention to detail. It was never like this the food was always hot.

Been ordering here since the 90s. The food is decent but $19 for a small Greek salad with chicken! Done. Understand prices went up, so either I was overcharged or that price is ridiculous.

Incredibly sad, we have been customers here for close to 30 years. Stopped in for a quick Soda To Go while doing an errand next door. 9 dollars for 2 small sodas-maybe 16 oz max the same soda that Costco Charges.69 cents for! Honestly it's criminal. The owner knew we were grabbing them To go-why not inform us a can of soda would be cheaper. We are not getting refills as we were walking right out. It's not out of the realm of comprehension to guide your customers to a more economical path. I actually have had some conscientious business owners do this. So sadly to screw me over for a $9 soda order, he lost a 30 year customer. When I asked him about the cost -he told me to go to the grocery store, so I will do just that! Bye East of Eden's!

Two large cokes to go for almost 9 dollars!!! I should’ve just said keep it and the guy the owner is always crabby never smiles never says hello. We’ll never go in there again and we’ve been customers for the better part of 20 years!!! Barely 16 ounce!!!

Second time visiting. We stopped in once for a quick snack a couple weeks ago. Menu looked interesting so we decided to give it another shot. We started with our order being wrong followed by bad food. Gyro was super cold and tasted undercooked, stopped eating it after a couple of bites didn't want to risk getting sick. Ribs were cold, seemed like they just slapped warm BBQ sauce on it and sent it out. We got our food in leas than 5 minutes, I Should of know there was an issue with food because of that. Food wasn't on the counter for more than 30 seconds so it's not like it sat there getting cold. Atmosphere was ok, couple of the tables were dirty with some kind of food on them. Some pee coming out of the men's bathroom urinal into dinning room which I'm sure someone just missed and didn't tell staff. Food wise definitely not worth a revisit for us.

The owners should go to Mickeys on Harlem Ave in Oak Park and see how they serve a Gyros/Fries/Drink and compare. Mickeys Gyros is full of meat, onions, tomatoes, sauce. Eden’s was super greasy and barely had any sauce or fixings to speak of. Fry’s were the large boring cut and no flavor. Total cost with medium drink was over $19, Mickeys only $15.
What a wonderful experience. The staff and management team worked very well. Each item is prepared fresh and made with the best professional care. The rice is exceptional. Service exceeded all expectations. The restaurant is very clean and sanitary. The restrooms have plenty of soap and hot water 💦. Any item is very well seasoned, served on a clean fashion. I recommend the cheeseburger and the hotdogs. East of Edens is a member of the Hot Dog Hall of Fame!!!! Any desert choice is very tasty and should be ordered as a take home treat. The root beer 🍻 is magnificent. Greek hospitality is very much present here Attend!!!!!!

Bad customer service 2 older gentleman working the front counter not friendly at all. There was a fly in my drink I noticed it when I took the lid off to get a piece of ice to chew on after having drank some of the soda. I immediately took it to the front the older gentleman that worked there looked at it never apologized all he asked was if I had a Coke and replaced it with a new one. Overpriced the food wasn’t worth it first and last time going there.
