I order a Birthday cake for my boyfriend’s 60’s, and it came out beautifully! I sent a photo of what I wanted, and the final result was even more stunning than I could have hoped. Not only was this cake beautiful, but it was delicious. The frosting was light and creamy. The cake was perfectly moist, and the chocolate ganache layer in between each layer was silky smooth. I could not be happier with how it turned out. Thank you ECBG for the stunning cake.

Now for the cake itself… LITERALLY one of the best cakes I’ve ever eaten. I could’ve devoured the whole thing myself, but I froze half to control myself. I don’t like overly sweet cakes or icing, but the cake, filling, and icing were absolutely delicious! I’m going back for a St Patrick’s day order and while I live here, they will be my main cake spot! Highly recommend!

For our wedding cake we purchased a signature heart shape cake and it turned out amazing! Since it was not a large tier cake to serve all of our guests, we booked directly through their online form after we completed a tasting. The form is straightforward and easy to use. I will say when we first picked up our cake we didn’t love the font of the writing and the color (black) that I chose didn’t go well with the overall look of the cake. ECBG was SO responsive and friendly and were able to quickly update the writing to a delicate cursive and in the same color as the frosting - next level customer service! The cake looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Highly recommend!

The cake was GORGEOUS (please excuse the pizza box. My daughter requested it). A real showstopper. Everyone at the party was in awe. By far the coolest looking cake I’ve ever seen. Plus the delivery service was game changing. When you already have to decorate, pick up catering, fill coolers, greet your guests, etc. etc. it’s great to have the cake just show up for the birthday party.
That said, it’s prettier than it tastes. It was fine, but I expected a bit better for a $320 cake. There’s a disclaimer on their site about the way their buttercream tastes different or unlike buttercream you’d expect. I didn’t see this until after I bought, but thought it was a bit of a red flag that they give out a warning on what to expect from their buttercreams. I gotta imagine that’s the result of people complaining about it… like I say, it was fine, but the recipe could use a tweak for sure.
If I ordered again - and I definitely might - I would get something other than buttercream.

I simply do not have words for how INCREDIBLE our cake looked AND tasted. We had our wedding at RPM Events in Chicago, and one of our Groomsmen ran his finger down the back of our cake prior to the reception because he claimed "there's no way that's the real cake". Not to mention, I opted not to have a meeting, and instead simply sent 3 photos of what I wanted & a description (I wanted our cake to look like a white rose, but still simple & elegant)- and it was even better than I imagined. We cannot say enough incredible things about ECBG!!!!!

Make sure you are very explicit in what you want - if you want everything to be edible on the cake or if you want real flowers (not edible!) make sure you are clear.

We ordered the tasting box which was awesome, pickup was so easy. We were put in contact with Sarah since it was a wedding order. Even though we didn't go custom, she was still very responsive to any questions. We ended up ordering the Eat Your Heart out from the Cake Shop and we're so so happy with how it turned out, both beautiful and delicious! Couldn't be happier and at a reasonable enough price to order again for special occasions or our anniversary.

They care about the details and it shows—amazing product. The red velvet was so decadent and the cream cheese icing was such a nice compliment. It was exactly how I envisioned it!
