What a fun little bar! It's decorated with massive amounts of concert posters and artwork prints all over the walls, with the back rooms feeling like you've stumbled into someone's living room and you have a cocktail in your hand.
There are wines at various tiers, cocktails with tons of customization options, straight-up beer (Hamm's is $5 for a can at time of writing and is served with a fun twist to make it extra cold) and even specialty larger-format beer bottles.
You can sit at the bar or at the various seats and couches in the back. The music was at a super comfortable volume for conversation.

We can on a night where they were doing tastings for champagne and it looked like a lot of fun, for a set price you get to try 6 different champagnes.
I had an espresso martini and an old fashioned and both were fantastic. The bartender was super friendly and made my wife a great non-alcoholic cocktail based on her preferences.

I lived in Chicago for 10 years and Ed & Jean’s was my bar for much of that time. I understand neighborhoods change and bars evolve but this place has become cold, pretentious, and openly unwelcoming. We stopped in for a quick cocktail and were met with resistance about closing, zero hospitality, and an unmistakable “we don’t want you here” attitude. I didn’t expect the old Ed & Jean’s, but basic courtesy shouldn’t be this hard. Won’t be back.

Wonderful, Bespoke cocktail bar right in Bucktown. I'm so thrilled to have found this hidden gem! The cocktail and wine menu are impressive and the staff was super friendly and patient with me. I love the unpretentious atmosphere, whoever decorated certainly put the utmost thought and effort in to this business. Its a beautiful place to spend the evening with friends and it's a great date spot!
