Serge and Oksana are the best hosts. Enjoying the game, a good time and a delightful neighborhood bar. Visit. You won’t be disappointed….

Edelweiss Tavern is a cozy, classic neighborhood bar with a welcoming vibe. The drinks menu has a solid selection of beers, cocktails, and spirits, and everything is served promptly by friendly, attentive staff. The atmosphere is laid-back and inviting, perfect for a casual night out with friends or catching up over a drink. The tavern has a charming, old-school feel that adds to its character. A great spot for anyone looking for a relaxed, no-frills neighborhood bar experience in Avondale.

Great bar.

I stopped here with a friend because it was in between us. I figured it would be a traditional Chicago dive bar and it was but in all the good ways. The bartender was super nice, the prices were very reasonable, and they have a pool table!

Im gonna end up coming back to this place and I recommend it.

Went to the bar as it is close by to play pool. Handed the bartender $7 cash to play pool he gave me back $3 in quarters. Approached him to let him know of his error he apologized and gave me the rest of my money. Later the pool table jammed and he claimed we “broke the table” when the table didn’t give us our balls when we placed the quarters and pushed. Continues to argue eventually kicking us out. Complete trash

Decent sized neighborhood bar. Has a pool table and a very clean women's restroom. Accepts credit cards with a $20 minimum. Was a bit expensive for a neighborhood bar. Parking is rough.

Come on Come all... Karaoke dive bar. Drinks are cheap. No stingy fills. Pool table. Free food on special days. Good mix of friendly like minded people. Servors are kind and interpersonal.

I came in from out of town: This place was really cool. We went for karaoke tonight with a big group and had a great time. I ordered 1 shot and a beer for my friend, a tequila drink for another friend and 4 high noons. They triple charged me for 12 high noons and my tab was almost $200 dollars. I barely drink, so one of the high noons were for a friend of mine. I feel like that puts me in a very awkward position with the bartender to argue with how many drinks I had when it was busy with other people closing out. I paid the tab but they definitely scammed me out of money. Not cool to take advantage of a customer you don’t know. Felt really disappointed when I left.

Perfect bar almost minus the prices. The patio is great and the bar always has space for you and the boys. Bartenders are great but I will say they have no bike racks nearby whatsoever. Only real flaw other than the prices.

We used to love this bar, but then last night our 24 year old friend forgot her ID (she wasn't drinking, drunk, or planning on ordering a drink) and so the older lady behind the bar who we had never seen before refused to serve any of us. Went outside to wait for her Uber with her and when we came back in she demanded IDs from all of us (again) and some random bystanders she suspected of being with us, and proceeded to give us the worst attitude we'd received from any bartender, and that's saying something for Chicago. Took our business to Sleepy Village down the road, much better drink options for roughly the same price and you're not badgered for your ID like a 15 year old.

Avoid the older lady behind the bar at all costs.
