Sunday Brunch was lovely. Great atmosphere and staff. So relaxing. Live music as well.

The food is phenomenal and the prices are insanely affordable. My favorite is the escargot and French onion gratin soup. The chef is Le Cordon Bleu trained and it shows. Very very delicious. The food is also served at neighboring Le Pharmacie so you can enjoy the best of both if wanted.

Feel like a celebration everytime I've eaten at the lovely cafe

This is a refined dining experience. The atmosphere is calm and reserved. Table linens, full silverware settings and Riedel wine glasses are the standard here. Their menu leans towards French cuisine. Butter, cream and love were found in every dish we tried. The service was wonderful. I recommend this place for a calm, adult dinner out.

I had an amazing Thanksgiving Day dinner at the Edgewater Beach Cafe. I like the intricate details, and alarming location. The host who is the owner was a great man. He is direct. The other man who is the waiter is excellent with customer service. I dine great at the Edgewater Beach Cafe. The price is reasonable too.

It just stupfies me why this restaurant is not the most crowded place in Edgewater. The Edgewater Beach Cafe is the absolute best in the neighborhood! Tried every other restaurant and there's no comparison! From the escargot to the shrimp with burgundy sauce to the raspberry chicken, it's all delicious. It's essentially a French restaurant minus the cost and pretentious attitude. The owner is Vietnamese and his wife trained in Paris is the chef. Couldn't ask for more!

I called to ask a simple question and I get berated on the phone. Yes it was a call back about a different 20 second question. As I had called moments earlier and had the idea to get takeout after I was told they do not do delivery, which I was completely fine with. I was expecting to spend upwards of a $100 at the establishment and I get an attitude and the person telling me not to call back because I asked why they were acting that way when a paying customer wants to know their options. Does the place not want the business? Maybe so many people like their food that some of them just dont care how they treat people. I and my girlfriend had a great time there in the past but this is the first time in decades of ordering food someone has yelled at me and had such a terrible attitude. The customer is definitely not always right but you cant treat people like you're doing them a favor and that their questions don't matter. Even if you have a bad day you can be kind. Fyi I called today at 5:16pm.

We were 2 couples and each person ordered different dishes. Everyone was delighted with their food! The owner was sweet, funny and charming and provided superb service. It was quiet enough to easily converse. Three of us had cocktails (very good) rather than wine, but the owner was kind enough to open a bottle for the fourth diner. Will definitely go back!

Best meal we’ve had during our Chicago stay. Great food, cozy atmosphere and friendly service. I had the rack of lamb and my wife had the duck. Really liked the house cab. Very reasonable prices. Definitely will be back!

Just walked in to try this historic restaurant. Never been welcomed so rudely and uncaring by a server. Perhaps the food is good but it wasn’t worth staying.

Lovely restaurant, delicious food and amiable owner. The restaurant has a small menu and also a weekly menu with two daily specials that changes every week. We went for the duck with cranberries and were not disappointed. The daily special includes soup or salad. We went for the carrot and cauliflower soup which was outstanding. The duck was excellent. Perfectly cooked and juicy. It also came wirh frsh green beans and twice baked potato. Dessert, also included, was key lime pie. Really good. Good wine by the glass and linen tables. We had a very enjoyable evening and will definitely be back soon. Highly recommended.
