A warm and welcoming place in a very unobtrusive spot! We drove past it once and almost walked into the package store upstairs. Was so glad to get into the restaurant. The space is darling, and the service friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding! As was my cucumber margarita-and my friend's Micheladas. We had the enchiladas with three Mole sauces, and the drunken fish tacos. Within 24 hours, I was already saying, “when can we go back?!“
Los tacos de cochinita están lo que sigue de buenos y el guacamole con pulpo, soberbio…
The Service, very good, attentive, the waitress, the Food, you can taste the freshness and high quality, I finish with the margaritas, the best in Chicago and Pilsen.
This place has great food and the Margaritas are Perfect!! We were really impressed with everything, the restaurant is well kept and the bathrooms are clean and smell fresh. The restaurant itself has Beautiful murals. I highly recommend.
Went on Valentines Day with a reservation. Arrived early and were immediately seated. White table cloths, roses and greeting cards on every table. So far so good, right!? That's where the good vibes end. We noticed no other tables had food on them. People were waiving to the staff who occasionally peeked their heads out from the back. We waited 45 mins before anyone checked on us, and hadn't even been brought water. 5-6 couples left during that time without ordering drinks or food. Our server finally took our drink order and I asked about apps. She didn't know the menu and went to “ask”. 25 mins later, our drinks arrived (meanwhile, more couples left in anger). Our drinks came and were inconsumable. My wife's mango marg was 99% mango syrup. My traditional marg was melted down. We should've left at this point but with it being Valentines Day, we knew we wouldn't get in anywhere else. We ordered a salad and guac and chips and asked for dinner recommendations. she said “honestly, this is my first day”. We were very kind, having both been servers ourselves and understanding it's tough to learn a new menu, especially on such a busy holiday. Ok, now we have an idea as to why things might be going wrong. she went back to get our apps but never returned. Eventually, a new server came and apologized for our experience but things didn't improve. We ordered entrees and awaited our apps. 10 more mins passed and our dinners arrived but no apps. When we let our server know, she brought out a salmon dish and flung it on the table. We realized it wasn't our salad and got her attention. After 5 mins, she rushed over, took the salmon and placed it on the table behind us in front of a woman. I couldn't believe it. Such a health violation. The entrees were terrible. Wife's steak was tough and my mole dish was awful. I asked to end the experience and they tried charging me the full $110. I'm sorry, this was as bad a dining experience as I've ever had. Ruined Valentines dinner.
Food is not fresh, taste rotten. Will give 0 stars if I can

Food sucked. I ordered the Coca Cola tacos that came highly rated (apparently) and they had the funkiest aftertaste. I told the kitchen I didn’t like it and asked for the al pastor instead, which they kindly obliged. The al pastor was tasteless and mushy. Worst $70 I have spent in my life. My boyfriend somewhat liked the fajitas, though.
We should have known this would be a terrible dining experience when absolutely no one was in the restaurant when we arrived nor ever came in while we were there.

Ordered vegan fajitas and they gave us steak instead of mushrooms
Vegetarian options: They need to double check and ensure they get orders right

Only Had $5 margaritas to go. So I can't comment on the food.
The server/bartender was great. Stopped by around lunch time on Saturday while walking around Pilsen. The $5 margarita sign caught the attention of my significant other since she loves margaritas. I was very pleased that the margarita was balanced but at the same time you could take the alcohol. I've had margaritas priced between $18-20 in the past and this margarita holds its own with being top 5 I've had.
I did notice that it was hard to get service since it's located kinda basement style. The bathroom was clean and the mural was a cool addition.

The most amazing and food and the drinks are the best I’ve ever tried I've been to El Berrinches several times and I've been pleased with both the food and the customer service on every occasion. The Arabe is my favorite taco on the menu so far!

Worst restaurant experience ever. Will never come back to this place. The food was cold and extremely late. DO NOT RECOMEND TO ANYONE. You'd be better off going to Taco Bell.
